ELEGOO 30 PCS Test Leads Set with Alligator Clips Double-end 50cm Jumper Wire for Arduino

I had a set of ten of these back in the 70s and I loved them. They would be in constant use in all sorts of applications. Slowly over the years they disappeared, either lost or broken. When I saw this set of thirty from Elegoo I just had to buy them. More for nostalgia rather than practical use as I do little in the way of electronics nowadays.They are so handy to have around when trying to repair some electrical or electronic items. They're great to clip on to your multimeter prods when you need permanent contacts while testing. Having five different colours helps to colour code your connections. You get red, black, green, white and yellow.I wouldn't recommend using the clips on high voltage equipment as there's little protection offered. They seem to be nicely made but the wire is rather thin so low currents only. If they used thicker wire then they wouldn't be as practical to use. Think low voltage and low current and play safe.Getting 30 of these little leads for under £8 is in my opinion a bargain. I probably paid more than this back in the 70s!I hope you found my review helpful.

They're decent enough, bit fiddly but you get used to it.I'd recommend for some hobby areas but not others, I intended to use them for testing crossover networks for speakers and found that they introduce an impedance curve enough throw my measurements off - a workaround for the time being has been using only the clip to tie components together.For those who want to know, impedance is basically resistance dependent on frequency

I needed some short 'croc clip' test leads for general use doing prototype electronics. These are perfect 50cm long good colour coding. The wire is crimped to the croc clip, I've checked the ones I have and the crimp is good. most of all the croc clips are perfectly aligned with tiny sharp teeth perfect for grabbing and staying where placed. The is no mistaking the connections with the vivid colours used for the wire and croc covers. Very pleased with these leads and can recommended them as a good quality test asset.

The leads are well made and fulfil their purpose admirably for lower currents. Having said that you're not likely to be using any currents more than about 2 amps are you?

They are what they are cheap and cheerful

These are great, but the clips tend to slip inside their covers when you try to open close which is mildly annoying.Once clipped they are fine, but if you want to constantly clip, unclip spend a little more.
