Great value and quality
Fantastic large lamp, very responsive to touch and looks awesome. Also responds to sound, but this needs to be quite loud (clapping hands gets a response, music needs to be at a fairly highly volume).Original order sent to wrong Amazon sorting centre and then disappeared. Amazon promptly refunded but could not deliver again in time for my little girl's birthday so ordered direct from Glowhouse.

Safety First
The ball worked for about three minutes. These things seem to be utter rubbish. I’ve done a bit of research and the real ones cost over £1000. You can get them from the US. I had a cheap one when I was a student and it worked fine but whoever is making them now, shouldn’t be. Read some of the reviews. It’s lucky no one has been seriously injured or worse. The real ones have a wooden base and have thick laboratory quality glass. They also go up to 18in size. I am going to ask Amazon to consider selling them. You’ve got to ask yourself how much your safety is worth or, more importantly,the safety of your children.

Bought for a 9 year old by a cynical Dad and actually much better than expected - the picture on Amazon is representative. Reacts interestingly to touch with more intense blue-white plasma lightning (akin to star wars Emperor power, obviously , as I'm told!)For safety I wouldn't leave it on for long periods unattended or as night light etc. as with any electric toy.Also has a respond to sound setting which works but haven't used much.

Very 90s but they 10 year old wanted for Xmas, just like a remember them! Good size, works as expected
