Sonic Sculpture
The Classic wah sound will be yours with this well built piece of kit. This is a quality, professional grade effect pedal that rewards practise with incredible tonal effects. Not just funky wakka-wakka sounds. Add a little gain for full bore screaming lead to add variety to your solos. Michael Shenker famously uses this very pedal as a treble boost to help his solos cut through the mix. I paid a little more to get the classic fasel inductor as I do a lot of studio work and wanted that vintage "feel". The standard CryBaby is built just the same and for most muso's would be perfect for gigging. Audiences would not notice any difference. It's all a matter of personal preference. Whichever model you choose, and there are a variety of CryBaby's available including signature ones, it rewards practise with amazing sonic results. Get one. Work with it, and have fun.

The real deal
Very well made and sturdy.Great wah sound.Worth paying the extra money to get the "classic" over the "original" model.

Buy the 'Classic', not the 'Original.
This is a fantastic wah. I sent the 'Original' back as it doesn't even have a true bypass circuit. It really coloured and muddied my tone even when switched off! The 'Classic' sounds far better too. Has a wider sweep that covers a higher range of frequencies. Highly recommend you pay that bit extra and avoid disappointment. Built like a tank. Great for people with larger feet.

Average wah
Nice typical classic sounding Wah. Built like a tank. Bad points takes too much effort to press down. Practically impossible to use sat down. When arrived rubber stoppers on top were out of line had to re glue. Also these are a pain to get on a pedal board with out messing about

Expensive, but the bee's knees
I listened to several YouTube videos to hear the difference between this Classic pedal and the Original model. It's a matter of personal taste, but I preferred the Classic - it seems to give a brighter tone.I don't much care for the method of turning it on and off (by pushing the pedal all the way forward till it operates a switch under the toe end). There is no indicator light or any other means of telling if it's on or off (except by the sound). However . . . it just delivers a whole new gorgeous, jaw aching, tone twisting dimension to the sound of your guitar.Even with the pedal stationary in the mid position, you get a mildly distorted boost which gives a real cutting edge to the sound. Then gently press with your toe to turn the music inside out.

Worth the extra money
Well worth the extra money! Having now owned both the original and now the classic, I'd say the classic has a Much better switch and the tones are just sweater. I've Been playing the guitar for 24 years and All guitar players should own one! Great fun.
