wonderful dvd!
i love anything with james may in it,so i had to buy this dvd as it has one of the best episodes of the toy stories series on it,i am talking about the great train race 2. i loved the first train race but was left dissapointed how it finished. youll be happy after watching this one tho so i shan't say anymore. the balsa wood glider is also fantastic to watch. i actually saw this when it was shown as a christmas special a few years ago and i always wanted to own it on dvd and now i have got it. james may brings a unique brand of informative humour to everything he does which i admire.he always gets stick from the other two to gear presenters for being boring, but its the so-called boring side which makes him unique.he will always try to make sure you the audience, understands the concept of what he is trying to do on each episode and that adds a certain charm.so this is a must for any fan of top gear and james may. happy shopping

A bonus Toy Story!
For those of you who can't get enough of James May, here are two great segments from his Toy Stories shows. The Great Train Race picks up where the TV show left off, with the train from two seaside towns still without rail service. This time they embark on making the trip a race with great results! The second show is the Balsa Wood Glider where they attempt to fly a basa wood glider across the English Channel. Fun stuff! I hope that the creative team is planning more shows, these are great fun to watch!

What A Program!
What a program! Whoever thought up the ideas for these programs is a genius.I just wish it would be possible to make more programs perhaps making different items with the materials/products.I hope they do not assume that because the product or material has been used once to make an item, and demonstrate it, they think that is as far as they can take these programs.Sim Oakley is incredible in the series.

Fun introduction to engineering ideas via toys
James May has an exceedingly amiable screen persona and his enthusiasm for the subjects (toys and engineering) shine out of these two shows involving toy trains and model gliders. Both are great watches. In terms of entertaining kids while subtly teaching them some basic science and engineering, the Toy Stories series represents a brilliant British version of Mythbusters.Highly recommended.

James May's toy Stories Balsa wood Glider/ Great Train Race.
There should be more James May on TV IMO. He makes great programs & this is no exception . This DVD completes my set ( a gift from my son ) & I hope the BBC make some more of these. James is overshadowed to some extent on TG , just look at his recent " Cars of the People"Very entertaining & informative. Recommended .

Entertaining Antics With Toys
I really like this fellow and his antics with toys are really good, perhaps it's because I am from a similar generation and just wish I had thought of some of the things he gets up too.Looking forward to the Meccano motorbike and the Action Man Rocket being available to buy on DVD

Finally On DVD!
I adored the first series of James May's Toy Stories, and the two specials that followed were just as brilliant. The minds of the team who help James achieve his big toy ideas are geniuses and we need the BBC to make more shows like this. Absolutely top notch and this DVD couldn't come quick enough.
