AOSU2K Add-on Camera, Requires WirelessCam/SolarCam HomeBase (NOT Doorbell HomeBase)

These cameras are very easy to setup taking about 15 minutes to setup 3 cameras for me. The home base makes it easy for local storage without the need to purchase some form of subscription just to get the features like zone selection and notifications. I have tried others in the past that required a subscription for those extra features. I fully charged them once I took them out of the box and set them up on July 18, 2024. Today is September 25, 2024 ( so about 2 months and 9 days) and this is the first time I had to take them down to recharge them. I have had other wireless cameras on battery last 3 to 6 weeks before having to recharge. Video quality is excellent. Features like 2 way talk back, siren alarms and night mode are all excellent features that work great. These are the best cameras for price that I have found. Highly recommend for price, ease of use, and functionality.

Setting up was super easy, the app offers many easy-access features. picture quality is good. Siren is loud (if you were away and like to set it up in a specific zone) also the night vision is great, you can use infrared, regular spot light or nothing.Also it's easy to tilt the camera in any direction to cover a wide range.Highly recommended for the price range.Also the battery seems to last for a long time because I have been using it for a few days now and it's still almost full!!

the only thing i dont like is charging these. other than that, they detect the slightest movement and are reliable. i bought the 2 cams plus an add on, and im very pleased with my purchase. ive been using them for about 6 mos, so ive had some time to use them. i would recommend. great visuals, good night vision, very good options for each cam. i only use the local storage, and it has served me well. you won't regret this purchase!update: i liked these so much that i bought another add on and a doorbell cam. they are all able to be viewed within the same app - which is extremely convenient! a lot of folks mention aosu's amazing customer service... they are absolutely correct. you're able to send customer service a text thru the app, and they *always* respond within about 30 mins. i would highly, highly recommend their products. you won't be sorry. between the ease of set up, ease of use, and their customer service, i give them 5 stars.

Reasonably priced and very reliable system; the setup was a breeze, well integrated monitoring on the phone app; it’s working far beyond expectations, highly recommended. Only qualm is the occasional recharging of the battery; which means I have to bring the camera down and recharge. But other than that, awesome system.

I purchased this for my mother's house in Sep 2023. Installation was quick and easy and the cameras have great quality.Recently, I had an issue with one of the base stations. It would disconnect and all my efforts to get it back online failed. Given I was still in the warranty period I contacted AOSU through their website. Their response was quick and after only a couple of troubleshooting steps I was not only sent a new base station but and entire new 2 camera setup. Lynette at AOSU was very professional and helpful and resolved my issue in a timely manner.AOSU went above and beyond.I would not only recommend this product, I am currently going to purchase more for my own home.

Great video picture. Easy to install. It has a lot of good features, for the short time I've had it, customer service seems to be pretty good. I'd recommend to a friend at this point. Something else, I really like the 32GB of storage and when it fills up it just overrides the SD card. 32GB of storage is a LOT. You will have no need to pay for cloud services. I would like to say one more thing, I HOPE THEY DON'T STOP MAKING THEM. EVERYDAY I LIKE IT EVEN MORE !!!

Once I installed the system, I familiarized my self with the app and settings. Since then it has worked well. I like the cameras coverage. It is better than my last system, Arlo, which was about 7 years old. I do like the two way speaker on the cameras. The video doesn't lag much at all in SD mode as it does in 2K. I also like the alarm feature that you can set to go off automatically or manually. I do have to say syncing the cameras was a bit tricky for me. It showed not connected but they were. Not sure about this, but it works fine after playing with it for awhile. Overall, I am pleased with the system. I would recommend it. I especially like not having to subscribe to a cloud service because it has plenty of local storage. That's a plus! The app is pretty easy to use which is great. I haven't owned other security cameras except for my last on as I said above, but I took a chance with this one and I am pleased. I also asked customer service to send me a few more window decals, and they were very accommodating. Customer service is rather quick to respond. I sent an email and received a reply within a day or less. One last thing is that the battery levels do hold up well unless you use the camera(s) alot with the talk feature and siren and live feed. So battery longevity depends on usage. The one I have used the most has dropped to 85% but has not diminished much more because I was using it alot while checking out all the features and playing live feeds alot. So I would have to say your purchase of this system will be well spent. This is based on my opinion of all the features and price.

What was most impressive for us was the quality of AOSU customer service. One of the two cameras we installed was losing signal. It didn't matter where we tried it, even right next to the other one that had great signal reception. We sent an email to customer support on the afternoon of November 13th. We received a reply in the morning of November 14th that they would send a replacement within 5 days and were extending our warranty for the inconvenience. We received the replacement late afternoon the next day. We charged it up overnight and installed it this morning (the 16th). It works fine and has even detected a little fox walking by in our yard this afternoon. Wow! This is the best customer service we've ever had for devices ever. Really, really impressive!Those are very decent security cameras. There's no need to pay a monthly fee for monitoring or storing videos. There's the option to subscribe to their secured cloud storage of videos, for a fee, but it's not really needed for most residential use. The homebase has plenty of room for residential needs. So there's the initial cost of the cameras and homebase, which is relatively high, but then that's it.Installation was relatively easy. Since there's no wiring involved, there's no need to hire an electrician or installer. A source of irritation are the setting instructions, or lack thereof. Adjusting the parameters requires a bit of fiddling to customize it to your needs. An easily accessible, detailed, online instruction manual with examples would be very useful. If such a manual exists on their site, we have not found it. You have to hunt around for YouTube videos and they are not always what you're looking for.The infrared light for night vision is very useful but just know that if there's a street light in the picture, you'll need the "white-light-aided" illumination turned on in the parameters. Otherwise, the street light across the street will take up a lot of the picture.

Pros:-Very easy to set up. Had it going in minutes.-They come half charged, so you may want to charge them before you set up.-They have a decent field of view.-Only a second delay to the app.-Voice chat features, including preprogrammed male voice, for women at home alone, or children.-NO SUBSCRIPTION COSTS!!!! The storage is in your home. Usage of the app is free. You can, but I’m not sure why, pay to have it backed up to the cloud.Con:-Not a lot of motion on the base. It’s difficult to get the angle you want.-I’d like the USB-C cables to be longer so you can leave them plugged in permanently if wanted. But the 240day charge does sort of negate the need. It’s just a want.Will update review after a Canadian winter, and if anything goes wrong.

I bought the Aosu Base Station that came with two 2k WiFi connected cameras to add some security to my alley and backyard. I liked this combination because it doesn’t require a cloud storage subscription with ongoing fees. Instead, the base station has a 32GB memory card that overwrites itself over time. But if there are recorded incidents it’s very easy to save them to your phone. The camera resolution I would say is very good but I wish it was even better. They sell a 5MP camera that I might consider next. Performance so far has been very good. Set up was quite straightforward and once everything is running the notifications are near instant. Easy to define zones within the view of the cameras to track movement and there are other nice features too - voice alert presets, speak through the camera, alarm siren, and a light. The big question for me, going into winter now, is what will be the battery life when it gets cold. I’ll update my review once I have more information about that. If the battery life is good in the cold I may update my review to five stars.

Pretty impressive about the quality of these products. So far, I have no concern yet about the picture quality or battery. Notification has a bit delayed but always detect thing. AI function really works.It is still new to know how the performance of the battery but hopefully, it will perform as advertise.One of the camera had issue with connection and it was a great opportunity to know how good the customer service is. You sent an email explaining the issue and someone got back to you very quick with all the supports and options to solve the problem. Thank you very much Lynette.

We have 4 of these security cameras and are more than pleased with them. Good camera quality and easy to set up.The customer service with this product is exceptional and they always solve your problem. A good pick for sure for security camera needs. Thank you Aosu!!
