Wow, did he love this for his birthday, it was in the pool within minutes, until the battery charge it came with ran down. It is a bit fast for the pool but is should be great in the pond, a bigger place to run it full speed. It is by far the fastest of these type radio controlled boats we've ever seen, certainly much faster than his previous version. He'll have a blast with it.

We are having so much fun with this boat. We love that it came with two batteries so you can charge one while you're using the other one. It beeps for about 30 seconds straight if it senses that the battery is about to run out, so you have time to bring it back in. We risks probably getting the boat about 200 feet from us and we noticed that the reception seems to go right about then. So you can't go very far but still, a lot of fun for the price! A great gift for boys

Price great works well but is only about 10 inch long

I used it to move a remote fish finder. I am a shore fisherman.

The boat does not automatically stay upright. It will flip over. It can be hard to recover.
