Mister Seahorse (World of Eric Carle) Board book – Illustrated, 3 Mar. 2011

Even though I have a place in my heart for the Hungary Caterpillar having loved it as a child, this is even better. I bought it for my son when he was about 1 1/2 and he continues to love it aged 4. The pictures are brilliant and the see thhrough pages are a great idea. The story is also lovely in that it tells you all about the male fish that look after babies- very PC!!

Delightful little book for my 3 1/2 granddaughter. With interesting facts about other fishes and how they carry their eggs. Beautifully illustrated with little transparent windows painted with reeds or seaweed through which you get a peep at the next fish mentioned. Did you know Mr Tilapia cares for the eggs in his mouth or the Kurtus fish sticks the eggs on his head until they hatch?!

As a fan of Eric Carle I had not seen this book before. It fitted in perfectly with our class topic of 'Under the Sea'. The children loved the book - a mix of story and facts. My favourite part was the use of acetate to provide camouflage for the creatures. We shall be using this idea for our art lessons. Wonderful book.

What a beautiful book. Beautifully written, beautiful story, beautiful illustrations and me and my boys love shining the light through the coloured pages. This is a must buy book. Both my 2 and 4 year old boys love it.

This is another colourful story which celebrates the beauty and variety of the precious wildlife that exists in our world today. It allows children and adults alike to appreciate how different perspectives make the world a more interesting place. It allowed children to understand both maternal and paternal aspects of life more easily.

Another great story book from Eric Carle. I used to keep Seahorses which is why this appealed to me. Great one for dads to read as it's all about male species that are the primary parent. Pictures are beautiful and colourful, just lovely!

Very attractive and innovative illustrations that will keep this on the read list for a while - good grounding about how parents care and bring new life into the world - sets the scene when there is another on the way

Gorgeous little story beautifully illustrated and the transparent pages make it really fun.

Sweet story, great illustrations. A surprise, some pages have transparent overlays which add onto the pictures. Fun.

My little one loves these books I always end up buying 2 to make sure each kid has there own copy
