It works and works well
After trying the MSI B350 Tomahawk and not being able to boot after the BIOS update, and noticing that people had similar issues with ASUS's version, I decided to put my faith into Gigabyte. My faith was well placed, as it is now running totally fine without any crashes after installing the necessary drivers using the disc. With MSI and Gigabyte, I kept getting the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error, which I determined was due to outdated drivers. I suppose with MSI, I should have went straight for the driver installation disc, since attempting to download drivers just resulted in the computer crashing and losing all download progress. However, when using the Gigabyte driver disc, even if the computer crashed, the installation continue on reboot, thus finishing the installation and preventing any future crashes/errors.I suppose my main criticism would be that my Sound Blaster card doesn't fit on the motherboard – it would seem that the PCIe slot was placed a little bit too far from the desktop case back panel. But it's all good, since I didn't get this motherboard for that purpose and does exactly what I wanted/expected it to do – get work done efficiently and play games (Battlefield 1) in high quality. Very happy.

... about this motherboard but now it's here I'm really happy with it
Wasn't sure about this motherboard but now it's here I'm really happy with it. Looks great, especially with the LEDs (which are totally customisable once you download the appropriate software, and they sync up with the LEDs on the Ryzen 1700 cooler too), and is fine for overclocking. Currently got my 1700 overclocked to 3.6GHz using the stock cooler with this board, which was a very easy process. Only problem is, like with most Ryzen motherboards at the moment, I had a bit of trouble getting my RAM to work at full speed with it but after a bit of tinkering have got my Corsair 3000MHz RAM running at about 2900MHz which is fine by me.Great motherboard for the price, definitely worth the buy.

This is a nice motherboard.
This is a nice motherboard.. the manual is atrocious though. black n white pictures, badly printed, can barely see infomation detailed.Bios however is very detailed and easy to understand. Press F2 to access during bootup, took me about 10 attempts.. since niether manual nor screen helped. Bios loads so fast it's only onscreen for like half a second. 3 system fan/combination headers, 3rd can be used for water pump, only 4 sata connectors, so be careful if you have 5 devices to setup. You'll need a splitter and there isn't one in the box.Glad I bought the gigabyte tho, over the other manufactuers.

Excellent Mobo
When deciding which motherboard to go for, it was a toss up between this and another. I went for this one and have no complaints. Easy to set up, though RAM didn't run at full speed initially, which I had heard was a common problem. Never flashed a bios before, but this made it so simple and easy, and RAM was then running at full speed in no time. Has all the connections the average user is likely to need, easy to work with, and seems to be of good quality. Would recommend. Running with: - AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB - Corsair Venagance LPX (2x8GB) - SeaSonic - S12II 620W - Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - Western Digital Blue 1TB

Does not come with back plate...??
Motherboard works fine enough. But does not come with a back plate, so installing a fan is impossible unless if you already have the required back plate ready to put onto it with your CPU cooler. This is something that should come with the motherboard in my opinion and I'm genuinely annoyed that it doesn't state that it doesn't come with one in the description. All the computer repair shops I told about this were shocked it didn't come with one. Although none of them had any back plates either. So 2 weeks of waiting for one to arrive through eBay made me regret buying this motherboard. If you really do want this board, make sure you either have all the things you need to fit the cooler first or buy a back plate in advance.

An acceptable motherboard if it wasn't defective
I purchased this product almost a year ago (24th of June 2017) and although initially the motherboard worked well, it always had a poor UI in the UEFI (a much nicer UI is available on ASUS motherboards for example) which although disappointing is not really an issue as the majority of a user's time is going to be spent in the operating system, not in the UEFI.One thing missing for those who would like to future proof their setup is the addition of a USB type C port, but this motherboard attempted to make up for that by including a wonderful number of USB 3 ports (and a single USB 2 port), another thing that may appeal to some is the great support for RGB that is present on this motherboard. However recently during a firmware update (performed through the manufacturer's app center which is available on their support page for the motherboard) the motherboard has stopped responding to any inputs, not even getting far enough into the boot process to display the manufacturer logo. Despite advertising of having a dual bios system to prevent such issues being permanent (as the secondary firmware could take over) I have yet to see an evidence of this functioning. Therefore I cannot in good conscience recommend this motherboard to anyone, and am in the process of returning this motherboard for a refund
