My daughter loves this and it feels really special for her getting this toy out l. It’s very satisfying building sandcastles and is much less mess than normal sand . It’s about half a standard bricks worth of sand , a few tools and half a dozen moulds to build a castle . It’s not entirely mess free (think play dough level mess). I also expected the size of box to have a little more sand in it

First up, I just want to say this is soooo satisfying to play with. As a 40 year old adult I enjoyed it waaaay more than my 20 month old. He liked it and will probably grow to love it, but for now I got more out of it than him. I am pretty disappointed with the amount of sand though. The picture on the box shows about 4 times the amount. I tried to recreate the picture and it shows how little sand there really is. It’s not terribly important because the nature of the sand starts to crumble anyway, but I do think the picture is deceiving.

We purchased this kenetic sand box for our daughter who was 2 at the time, and she’s always loved playing with it. We recently had a play date with another friend who has a 4 year old that absolutely loved it when she was round so we got her a box for Xmas. When we initially got our first box, we was a bit worried as we did see a lot of comments saying not enough sand inside the box, our thought was if there was not enough sand, we would buy extra sand to top up the sandbox, but it’s a good amount of sand for 2 1/2-year-old to play with at the moment. If there was any more sand inside she would just get it everywhere! It’s a fantastic sensory toy and keeps her busy for hours! We do play our sandbox on top of a plastic play sheet so there’s less clean up.

Bought for my grandson. He loves playing with this. He plays with it for hours. Love the fact it is contained in its case.

Sand quality, brilliant product.

Wir haben für die kalte Jahreszeit zum ersten Mal den Kinetic Sand bestellt, um auch drinnen mit Sand bauen zu können. Der Koffer ist praktisch zum Verstauen. Wir sind begeistert vom Produkt und der Qualität. Lässt sich sehr einfach wieder sauber machen, wenn mal was aus dem Koffer herausgekrümelt wird. Das Sandburgen bauen funktioniert mit den beigefügten Förmchen super. Zusätzlich zu den im Koffer enthaltenen 907 g Sand haben wir noch 2,5 kg extra bestellt. Damit ist eine Hälfte des Koffers gut gefüllt, und auch die Förmchen haben noch Platz. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ok, a couple months ago I snagged a bag of kinetic sand for my son (2 and a half years old) at a store. He loved it, but I would rarely let him play with it because - even if it is easier to clean up than regular sand - he still managed to get it into every crevice, shoe, and tight spot he could find. I ordered him THIS (along with more sand molds) and he LOVES it. I bought all of my nieces and nephews one, I was so happy! Life was great, right? Until it wasn't. Children love this stuff. I love this stuff. But...it's still sand. It was fun and adorable to watch him make dinosaurs and crabs and castles out of the stuff. But after a time, even with the container to hold all the things, he's managed to get himself covered in it and all over the ground. The good part: rolling a ball of this stuff over the fallen pieces picks it right up. The bad part: it can still get into hard to find places/everywhere. Buying a mat to catch spills was a must. I also NOW think the amount it comes with is perfect for kids younger than 5. At first I was of the mind, "the more the better!" Now I realize if you add anymore sand - it'll probably be everywhere lol I almost feel guilty sending my sisters another 3lbs along with their sandboxes! Almost. I know the kids love it so I still consider these purchases a win!
