I love this mini chopper. It’s exactly what I was looking for mincing a few cloves of garlic, cilantro and a jalapeño or 2. It’s a simple, inexpensive item that does what it claims to do. Yes, the blade is sharp, as I would expect if I wanted my large garlic cloves minced. The reviews re: it being sharp I find silly. Knives are sharp too if you want them to actually cut things. I have a 2 1/2 cup chopper that’s been going strong for over 5 years and I continue to love it. The issue has been that when needing to mince smaller items, the blade isn’t down far enough so I found this small gadget and it works great! Months so far… no problem. Great value and does what it’s supposed to do.

It was working well until it stopped working. It malfunctioned and would not stop spinning for a few minutes which was super alarming because there's nothing holding the top to the bottom. I can't just lift the top part with the motor out because the bottom part inside is a freestanding blade. I was afraid the blade would fly out at me. Horrible, horrible design. There should be some way to start/stop the spinning and to lock in the lid to the bottom part of the container. Or at least have some sort of separation between the part the blade spins and the lid. I bought an alternative to replace this that is almost exactly the same design. However, the new one has a plastic "lid" that sits between the blade and the motor. It makes it much, much easier to clean and feels safer to use.

Pros: * Easy to use * Easy to clean (hand wash only) * Comes with charging USB/C cable Cons: * Doesn't cut harder materials * Lid does not lock; just sits on the cup I bought this to chop up the PureBites brand freeze dried salmon cat treats, as the skin can be quite tough and some of the chunks are quite large. It does an okay job, but doesn't come close to chopping the harder pieces of the skin, it just flings them around. Works great for the softer parts. A note on cleaning: Watch your fingers with the blade spinner. It can be challenging to grab such a small piece securely enough to wash. I usually dump it out in the sink then grab top and bottom (where it touches the cup and again where it touches the motor). I haven't cut myself..yet. I cannot comment on the longevity of the battery life as my use is infrequent and short (couple times a week).

I absolutely love this and have convinced my friends to get one as well. Makes it so easy to chop and mince garlic, herbs, shallots, and I even make salad dressing in it. So versatile and the charge lasts for so many uses. The size is perfect for small items and it’s not loud at all. My new favorite kitchen essential.

This mini chopper has done an amazing job with garlic, jalapeños, and cumin seeds. I love the size. But I can only give it three stars for two reasons: 1) it has no isolation plate between the food and the upper piece that encases the motor. I had another brand that lasted two years (now discontinued) and having that plate between the food and the motor prevented spills and made cleaning a lot easier. 2) I always wash the blade piece in the sink and lay it on a kitchen towel to dry (I'm afraid to cut holes in the towel if I handle it). Well, within days it started to rust around the rings that attach the blades to the center column — and, of course, they don't sell a replacement blade. Whatever new chopper I get will have an isolation plate and I will need to be assiduous about washing and drying the blade.

I bought it, and it worked perfectly, until just after the warranty expired. The charging cord supplied with it is a short cord, and doesn't fit well into the unit. It just stopped charging up, after about 5 weeks. Kind of poor quality, even for the price.
