What a gorgeous book
It's a huge book with a lovely cover. The whole thing looks peaceful, spiritual and full of mindful insights. It includes nature, reflection, movement (such as yoga poses and sequences - I'm a huge fan of yoga), gratitude, crafts, journalling, meditation, star-gazing, recipes, visualisation and rituals. It would take ages to read the whole book so you can dip in and out or read month by month. There's even a section on making haikus (short poems which follow a particular structure). A lot is devoted to mindfulness.November - the month we are in right now, which also happens to be my birthday month, is devoted to 'A time to reflect. Crafting, handwork and the art of slow stitch remind us to appreciate the meditative nature of doing.' This month's yoga sequence is designed to balance your chakras. There are chapters on mindful walking, meditation, mindful breathing and building inner strength. The illustrations are beautiful.Even if this book is not for you, it would make a lovely Christmas present for a friend or relative who loves this kind of thing.

A practical, fun book for dipping into when you have a quiet few minutes to yourself
The Leaping Hare Wellness Almanac is a substantial hard backed book printed on good quality paper with attractive pastel-coloured illustrations. The book is arranged with 12 chapters – one for each month of the year - a sensible, logical and also practical structure. The book has lots of advice on relaxation techniques (visualisation, reflection, meditation) and mindfulness and describes activities to aid you in achieving a happy, relaxed, compassionate, ‘mindful’ state of mind. There are also recipes to try e.g., macarons, chocolate brownies and suggestions for yoga poses to try to keep you flexible and mobile.Connecting with nature throughout the seasons is a big theme in the book with nature-related activities being suggested together with stargazing and crafting ideas being described. I like this idea of living life with regard to the seasons- in urban living, especially, it’s easy to forget these natural rhythms. This, I think, is a book for dipping into when you have a quiet few minutes to yourself and to perhaps give you a helping hand to develop some techniques to incorporate into daily life that don’t take up too much time or cost anything but that have the potential to calm your mind and make life just a little bit better.I liked it a lot.

Beautiful and varied book
This book is a almanac designed to offer targeted activities, based on the year for health and wellbeing. I like all things to do with spirituality, health, etc, but also like to go deep and to explore obscure, esotericism, so would often steer clear of a book like this....but I also like daily, weekly, monthly, routine practice so gave it a try. Its definitely more of a coffee table book, but lots of detailed information and inspiration. It looks absolutely beautiful, the design on the cover is replicated on every page, which makes it great to look at. Many of the suggested practices are good, and as per a real almanac, they are seasonally themed which is great for your spirituality and connection to the wheel of the year. However, you need to remember that they are inspiration/suggestions, it is not for everyone to do them all, for example, there's no way I have time to start collecting seeds at the moment - if you don't remember this it may in fact stress you out and so have the opposite effect to that intended. That is one of the dangers of the path. Great book, can be shared or gifted.

Not only meditation
Very nice book, well illustrated, made well.It has an hardcover with a nice picture. This book can be used differently from other books, depending on the month you are on and want to focus on, you can go straight to the month and follow its plan. You can go back to the same month how many times you want, it's not one of those books that once you finish reading it's done.I personally don't like meditation and I don't think it works much on me, I get more anxious than I was to start with, but with this book you can focus on meditation, exercise, walking, breathing and eating for example.Very good price, I was expecting it more expensive.Recommended.

Stunning cover
First impressions are very good it’s a very appealing and stylish modern covered hardback book. However, when I turned it over, unfortunately the packaging had glued itself to the rear cover appointed.I have to say I really enjoyed reading this book and I’m still reading it now there’s so much that I connect with it’s helping me with my everyday life stunning contentI love how I find myself going back to it throughout the day having a read even if I’m reading a chapter already read, it’s absolutely stunning the pages are colourful well written and pleasing to the eyeIt does have a hefty price point of £20 and I’m quite pleased as I’m getting the whole family to read it
