Great (but stinky) choice for beginners with oils
I have some experience painting, but none with oils. I didn't want to pursue traditional oils due to the toxicity of the paint thinners and mediums, and difficulty washing paint out of brushes, and I thought the water mixable oil could alleviate some of these problems.I think these paints are great, colour selection is good, it includes a warm and cool primary triad, with a few secondaries and browns. The set does lack a black paint but you can just mix a black. I would advise picking up another tube of white because it goes obscenely fast, but this would happen with any brand. The colours mix very well together and blend easily.I was worried the paint being watermixable might give it a faster drying time, this doesn't appear to be the case at all, They have stayed very wet for the first two days, and still decently mixable for another day or so. I also don't work particularly thick with the paint, and haven't been trying particularly to keep it wet, so if you wanted to you could probably keep it wet for longer. The only problem is the smell, I don't find it particularly bad and once I get into a painting I just forget about the smell, but it is a noticable stank. It's a really minor problem, which the average person could definitely just ignore, but if you're sensitive to smells these may not be a great choice.I haven't used any other oil paints, so I can't compare the performance to other brands but I find these paints amazing, absolutely worth the money.

Don't buy oils anymore now that WATER MIXABLE ARE HERE
Very good starter set with all the clots you need to get in touch with oils. They don't stink at all, no need for harsh smelly chemicals anymore as they dilute with water! It's just amazing. And they are real oil colors, they take ages to dry but you have all the advantages of the oils, so extended time to reactivate the color. And the brushes wash out easily with just water but you might need to use some alcohol or thinner to completely clean them

Nice paints, but.....
I normally use ordinary oil paints so I thought I would try water based ones mainly because of cleaning the brushes. However, I found that when you watered them down, the colour lightened considerably. I used W Oil modified Linseed Oil to water them down which was fine, but unlike oils they do not like to be watered down too much. With original oils you can make good glazes when you use linseed oil, these oils however did not keep their original colour and didn't cover well when thinned down. Also they dry like acrylic paints which is very matt, which I do not like. If you don't mind a matt look then fine but at the price water mixable paints are, which is expensive, you may as well opt for the cheaper acrylic paints, you get the exact same look. Sadly I'll be going back to my original oil paints, they are more forgiving and do not change colour when thinned and they cost less. Oh well, back to washing the brushes out the hard way.

Art class
Great saturation of colour, used for my oils art class. Although they are water mixable, I used linseed oil and white spirit as I was using normal oils for another project and didn't want 2 different mediums/cleaners lying about.Spread easily and good volume of colour.

Good starter set
Good quality paints for a beginner with all the essential colours to mix any colour you need. Nice that they are water soluble so useful for people who can’t use turps or other smelly solvent.

Good value paints
I bought these paints for my dad. He gives them the thumb's up. Only downside is that it takes a couple of days to fully dry (depends on the medium they are applied to)

Exspensive
Brilliant that you don’t need turps. I stopped using oils because I got poorly on the turps. These are great. But too exspensive. Bring the price down guys

Poor
The paints arrived dried out leaving me to wonder how old they are. Disappointed.

Vibrant Colors, No Chemicals!!! LOVE! <3
I absolutely love the snot out of these paints! I had up until this point always used acrylic, mostly because I am impatient, and also cant stand the mess that I make with oil paint. This is truly water mixable. I also used Walnut oil a bit, just certain preferences. This painting I have attached is from an online oil mixable oil paint course. I think my painting is better than the instructor's! These paints mix and dry quickly enough for impatient artists like me, or can easily be removed if happy accidents happen! The set does not include black, so I did have to purchase that after. So, get this kit and an additional black. If you use acrylics, do yourself a favor, and GET THESE PAINTS! Solid quality! Brushes clean up easily with liquid dish soap. Artists! Do yourself a solid, and try these marvelous paints!!! 10/10 buying again!
