The Penguin Dictionary of Geology Paperback – 29 Nov. 2001

My lecturer told us to get these, it is useful and written with good explanations and quite thin so easy to carry to lectures. It gives a more accurate information than just using the internet. 4* because there are some words I thought that should be in there that were not.

Not as exhaustive as some other geological dictionaries but useful.Good for someone who is not well-up in geology.

Good for a first and basic dictionary, but as you progress you might find yourself needing something a little more detailed.

Always handy to have a dictionary at hand and for a geology student this is a must, if you are ever stuck on the meaning this book will help.

Great book, really useful to have and I use it all the time. Easy to read and understand with simple definitions that go into enough detail while not being confusing. Brilliant and a must have on every geological bookshelf

A must for any geology/Earth science course. I am in second year of an Earth science degree and use it all the time and have from the beginning.

If you are about to or study geology this is just what you need. I'll keep mine forever. During my undergraduate this was invaluable.
