I was confused at first about how will this tool not continually drip all the water out of the bucket. After trying it out the water stops coming out of the passageway because the cup is getting heavier. I'm pretty impressed with the design. Now I don't have to keep track of their water every day.

They're a little flimsy, if your 5 year old trips over them... and I had to glue (plastic resin) them in since my bucket doesn't have a removable top, but this is a far superior chicken watering system compared to everything I've tried before. Will need to rinse cups occasionally if you place them low to ground like I did. Chickens took right to them and very little mess or waste. I ended up making a second backup water-er with them after one of the chickens decided to try to roost on them, which resulted in a flood and emptying of the first. The second system leaked, so used some sandpaper and plastic resin to fuse them to the bucket. (Far far away from chickens and with lots of rinsing once fully hardened/cured.)

These were easy to install on buckets. You could also use a tall plastic container witha flat side. Be sure to use the included drill bit for the correct size hole, and be sureto have a nice clean edge to the hole. Plastic shrapnel stuck around the drill holemay give you leak problems. Snug the screw nut down tight inside the bucket andyou are ready to go. Set your bucket as level as possible. My chooks got the hangof this right away. No more dirty water.

They are not strong enough for adult chickens. When they get dirty they are not easy to clean.

Installed into a 5 gallon bucket, filled half full with water. Worked great for the first day then some how a cup came loose from its pivot fell down , drained all water from bucket and spring that keeps water from just running out is long gone. It must have sprung out when cup came loose. Still have 3 working cups so far, just have to find a way to plug 4th hole. Don't have time to mess with it so it just sits empty now ,and back to the old way of watering chickens.

These work great and are much larger than the ones we have seen in stores. We have not had any issues with leaks or overflowing. The rubber gaskets that came with the cups work perfectly and were easy to install. Our animals figured these out right away. Our geese/cats/dogs can even drink out of them if they want.

The shipment package included everything needed to set it up on a 5 gallon bucket and the installation was easy. However, after functioning well for about one day, the birds knocked off the cups, and the springs got lost in the coop. I could not find the appropriate type of springs, so the bucket leaked until it was empty. I had to remove the 5 gal bucket and bring back the old inadequate system. I need to find a better, reliable 5 gal watering system.

I put a small piece of double sided urethane tape below the threaded section and washer. It makes them fit nice and parallel to the bucket after tightening up and there is no chance of them rotating and loosening up. My Boubon Red turkey poults loved it.

Is 4 overkill for my needs, yes. Am I disappointed I have 4, no. I got these as I wanted 1 for my quails so they don't poop in their water (which happens if you have one that sits on the ground). Easy set up and installation and it works so so well

Love the cup idea...but these one leak and yes they are in properly...it's leaking from the cup part...cup stays tilted up a bit so it thinks it needs to keep filling up...therefore water constantly leaks. Not very happy with these ones.

Came with drill bit, so I had these screwed into an old bucket in less than 5 mins!Work well, easier to clean than a drinker. The little cups fill up with dirt, but these in usually one or two less dirty than others so clean water is available, compared to the rim of the drinker bottle.The hens don’t seem to scoot sawdust into them as easy. Most of the dirt comes from the hens on top.Not sure how long they will past as they aren’t super sturdy, but very pleased for the price!

Very disappointed with this product didn’t last 2 weeks, cups are not secured 2 week old chicks are able to dislodge cup. Product manufacturer has no quality control, I do not recommend this product.Richard G.
