Light weight shins, great for sparring.
Very light compared to the usual hard padded shins. This is something I prefer with my sparring. Probably not as strong as the usual hard padded shins. The trade off is worth it for me who spars and competes in local competitions.Certainly the middle ground between harder shins and foam shins.

I love these
I use these 3-4x a week and so far they are holding out really well (had them about 3 months), no damage to the pads after repeated heavy use, and they look good too.I found they were a little small on the sizing, I bought a medium and I'm 5'3 160lbs. Since I've lost some weight I don't have this problem anymore!The Velcro is strong and they provide great shin protection compared to the 'sleeve' style shin pads.

These have a left and right fitment...
Make sure to note that these are labelled for left and right leg. One week they were comfortable, the next not so much... until I realised.My old ones were not 'handed' so I never thought to check.Correction: my bad! Although I did have the issue mentioned (where I found these to be variously comfortable one week and less so the next week) I was mistaken about the Left/Right labelling. What I was looking at was the size marking (L for large) it wasn't until someone pointed out that both pads were labelled with L that I realised.Embarrassing the way it came out in a class but nonetheless Ibam still using them and they are comfortable every week. Guess I just needed to break them in.

They do the job
So although i do find these shin guards to be pretty good, i do somewhat regret not going for the elite's as i feel that these are alot more rudamentary for not alot of benefit in price. As i said in the title, they do the job fine and i have no complaints regarding the quality of the product. Padding is sufficient, the velcro straps keep the guards in place even through sparring. If youre on a budget, definitely buy these over anything else, if you have afe more 10ers lying around, upgrade to the elites.

Comfortable fit, durable
Very comfortable and good value for money. Use them for muay thai and kickboxing. Am 5,7" and they fit me fine
