Talisman Designs Plunger Style Thumbprint and Linzer Cookie Cutters, 4 Piece Set

These cutters make very pretty cookies! Easy to use but make your cookies look like they were a lot of work. Fancy alternative to the usual thumbprint cookies. I also like the package they came in. I use it to store them neatly so they’re easy to find. As long as you wash these cookie cutters in hot, soapy water and rinse thoroughly, they aren’t hard to clean. Don’t put them in greasy water or anything because you can not scrub behind the plunger. You also need to push down on the plunger to get the water out or it can stay inside.

These make really pretty cookies. Easy to use.

Cookies came out great! I chilled them in the freezer so they kep the pattern well!

I made shortbread cookies and added preserves in the center. Worked as expected. Easy to clean.

The impressions are not very defined and the thumbprint is too shallow

I hate when I get junk on Amazon and 'they' Amazon......call it one of their so called 'Choices'. First of all I should have known better.......how does 'Amazon' put it into their 'Choice' category with only '31' reviews? Seems easy enough to rig the review 'Amazon', with that few reviews. Well, I'm review 32 and this cutter is 'very' cheap garbage. The plastic window on the box it came is almost as substaingle as the cheap plastic the molds are made of. Can't imagine trying to clean the 'plunger parts since you can't unscrew/or take it apart to clean it. Plus, they make cookies about the size of a small thumb. You need to have a conversation with whoever gave this piece of crap, an 'Amazon Choice' after 31 reviews. Junk.Junk.Junk. And a waste of my time.

I think they should include several recipes. I used a favorite Shortbread recipe, and they are beautiful.

I was looking for something like this at a good price and was so happy to discover these. They work well. I made Ina Garten's shortbread recipe to test them out.
