Seasoning Injector

This one looks like silicone brushes you see anywhere else
A buddy of mine has a stainless steel injector that he got from Academy Sports. I don't recall the brand, only that it isn't Cuisavour. I don't have an Academy near me, so I ordered this one. It looks very similar to the one from Academy. The only non-metallic parts I see are the silicone o-rings around each needle hilt, and around the plunger. It draws and empties smoothly, isn't leaky, and the plunger shaft has markings at each half-ounce point. The markings appear to be stamped or screened on, but in that position, I would expect them to last for awhile. The way I do marinade injection, I don't really need any markings at all there, but it's something to be aware of if you do require precision. The included silicone brush is a small-medium brush. The photo of it the seller posted is at a really steep angle, so it doesn't look right. This one looks like silicone brushes you see anywhere else. If you need a mop, you'll still want to buy one separately. For general purpose use, however, this one is fine. In fact, I bought this injector/brush combo so I could get the brush. Academy's injector is the same price, but it's sold by itself.

Meat Injectors - They're not just for cooking any more.
A meat injector does the same thing that marinating does - but it does it much more quickly. Just be careful not to overdo it - or you'll wind up with food that tastes more like marinade than meat. It's a great way to flavor your meal without having to plan around soaking it for several hours (or days!).You can buy meat injectors for a fraction of this price, but they frequently suffer from three problems. First, most of them are made from plastic, which means that sooner or later they'll crack (especially if you put them in the dishwasher). Secondly, they are inclined to clog, which means you can't fill them with liquids that include solids such as tasty little chunks of garlic or herbs. And finally, when they *do* clog, they're quite difficult to clean. This item addresses all three of those problems. It's made from Stainless Steel, so you can clean it in the dishwasher. The needles are large enough to accomodate fairly chunky marinades and clogs will usually rinse out with a bit of soap and water. (I suppose you could get rid of really stubborn blockages by shoving a bit of wire down the shaft, but so far I haven't had to go to that extreme). There's also one more benefit to this product. Assembled, it looks like a prop from a Frankenstein movie, which means you can load it up with warm ketchup on Halloween and use it to scare the dickens out of trick or treaters.

Terrible product….
Terrible product….. First of all, the silicone basting brush never arrived, the injector comes in a hard plastic case and no brush….. The product has multiple spots with glue coming out every component of this thing…. there is even a residue on one of the rings where you put your fingers…. inside there is glue everywhere and black unknown residue…. the name cuisavour's engraving style is poorly done, terribly cheap…. the needles do not look made of stainless steel…. seriously, this is one of the worst products I ever bought in Amazon…. do not waste your time and money….

Expensive product with a short life
I've had this product for a couple of years. It's one of those kitchen items that gets used several times per year at most. I would estimate that it was used less than 20 times. Even though it has always been hand washed and well cared for, the gasket broke making this useless. For the price, it should have a longer working life. I do not recommend this product.

Great Stainless Injector
Did a lot of research before buying this one.Built like a tank, true stainless steel construction and no cheap seals.I love the large diameter needles. They both penetrate very well. The pressure this injector generates is amazing. I have had no problems with leaks during filling or injecting.Seems like it can pump anything full of marinade or juice as long as you can get the needle in it.Easy clean up and easy to push/inject effort.Graduation markings on syringe stem so you can inject prescribed amounts.I am glad I bought this injector!

Could be better
Thought it was going to work great, but even the largest needle wouldn't let some of the spices pass through. These were NOT large pieces of spice either. We just ended up injecting what would go into the chicken and mixing the rest of the spice with olive oil and basting as it barbequed. That being said, it's made really well, cleans up great and I'm sure will last forever. Guess we'll mainly use it to inject liquids.

Great Commercial Grade Quality
This is the best injector for the price, by far. The quality is exceptional. It is very heavy, we'll made, and will last me for years. You get two different injector tips for direct injection and another with a bunch of holes all the way down the needle so you get more seasoning spread out through the meat in stead of just one spot (what a grey idea). Also, very easy to wash in the dishwasher or in the sink!

Very nice
I love this injector, with the two probes one for marinate and the other for small minced herbs and etc.It would be nice if they offered a probe for larger items like olives and chopped garlic. We love to try new things in our cooking. The quality is very good, sturdy. If you don't have one you need this one.
