Helpful
One of the best pain killers. Used weeks before labour started. Help a lot

Best thing ever - Amazing little machine.
Purchased ready for labour, can honestly say it helped me so much. I stayed at home for longer at the start (almost 6hours). It was important too me to keep active with this labour, the boost buzz was just what I needed as each contraction started, it helped to distract from the discomfort, allowing me to continue to move on Yoga ball. Can’t recommend enough. Also recommend you show your birth partner how to use the boost that way they can help when needed.

Good!!!
Used during labour. At the start was irritating me but later helped me survived! Good value for a money. It will stay with us for other types of pains. We just need to get new electrodes.Very easy.

Definitely worth a try!!!
These things seem to be marmite but definitely a useful pain relief aid, it doesn't alleviate the pain entirely. That would just be too easy wouldn't it! Admittedly I didn't start using till the contractions where 4 minutes apart and lasting between 30-60 secs. I had the setting pretty high by that point, program B around about 40.A bit of advice make sure the pads are on with the wires facing upwards. My husband put them on the other way and the pads just kept rolling up, another bit of advice if the pads do start to roll up turn the tens off before you sort them out. My husband tried to put the pads back on mid contraction and it hurt so much. The shock of having more of the pad on so high was painful!!!!!! I could have murdered him. That's not an exaggeration btw. ItsThe tens machine worked best for me for the 40min hospital journey. I had it on program b at 50 accompanied by very loud music.I do think it's worth purchasing but use early to help build up the pain relief.

Malfunctioned during labour
This didn't work the very time it was supposed to work, during my wife's labour. We noticed that the entire unit randomly stops working and displays an error icon "CH1". I swapped the cables and the error icon changed to "CH2", which is when I realised that one of the cables are either broken, or the pads attached to it were malfunctioning. However, do not expect this to work at all during a painful time such as labour. If you still want a tens machine, buy from some other vendor.

Great product but read instructions
Bought for labour.Other-half rated it highly (in retrospect)Suggest you read the instructions beforehand though, I left it a bit late. However that's probably a life lesson too.

Don't let your Mrs talk you into getting this
My Mrs read every book under the sun to find a way to make giving birth easier—she was on a quest for the Holy Grail of childbirth methods. After all that studying, I asked her how the TENS machine was after the birth, and she said, “I couldn’t even feel it! I was in so much pain I could have been doing yoga with a herd of stampeding elephants!”Now, that TENS machine is sitting in our cupboard, collecting dust like it’s training for a marathon of never being used again. It’s about as useful as a chocolate fireguard! And the hospital staff? They wouldn’t even put it on her. They looked at me like I was trying to launch a rocket with a paperclip. “Not correct practice,” they said, while I was left there clueless, like a kid in a sweet shop without any money. They ended up guiding me through it, which was a bit like watching a sloth try to solve a Rubik's Cube—lots of effort and not much progress! So, if you’re reading this, do yourself a favour and look into meditation and breathing techniques—apparently, they work wonders! I give this TENS machine 3 stars. Why? Because it comes with a lovely little bag—perfect for hiding your hopes of a painless birth and the yoga mat you’ll never use!
