If you're putting together your own computer, with any luck you'll everything out and it will all fit together perfectly. More often than not, however, you either get so far and realise wires don't reach where they should, things don't fit where you want and there weren't enough of those little screws with that bit thingy on. I was upgrading my front intake fan to a 140mm Apache but the wire just wasn't long enough to reach any of the four pin sockets on my motherboard regardless of how I routed it. I could have made it in an exhaust instead but I was determined to have it as an intake so I ordered this. It's just the right size for what I wanted. If you're trying to do cable management in your PC in order to keep airflow nice and unrestricted, it's worth trying to work out just how much much extension you'll need so as not to buy something far longer than necessary and be left trying to find somewhere to stow all the spare cable away (though still worth being over generous than buying something that ends up too short). Cable is braided so that helps cut down on messy cables in my case. The fitting into which I plug the fan is a little loose and on a few occasions when I've been opening up my machine, the fan has managed to come unplugged from the extension without me knowing which subsequently made me panic when I realised my front intake wasn't working. It's probably better that it comes unplugged easily than be tight and have any accidental tension on the fan cable transferring to the motherboard and bending pins but I would suggest if you use this that you try and keep the section where the two cables fit together easily accessible should you have to reattach them. Overall good, does what you should want it for and is good quality. Just check the length will be sufficient and make sure it's four pin you need and not three pin.

Akasa, AK-CBFA01-30 a very well made PWN Fan Extention cable, at the right price.! i PURCHASED THE AKASA 3 Channel Fan Controller, and as I have a very big case I needed something Decent, to reach far away Fans, because I wanted to controll them and the Akasa extention cable came up in a search, it was just about the right price, you may well see from the picture - if you blow it up or zoom in, its actually very well braded in the factory for extra strength, including a lot more ware and tair to boot.! if you have a large case and you have obviously spent a lot of time & money building it as you bought the necassary parts, the last thing I thought to add - to make it ("Poker Ace's") was the fan controller and a few Different cables by Akasa, including, the 2 into 1 Splitter cables ... which i bought 5 of them and several extention cables, TBH,I bought a few too many; Hopefully, I will use them in another build, they are "black braded cables" for extra ware. I cannot see any better cables from "Scan or Overclockers", I checked. "Amazon, - have these cables at the best price; including the best customer service".!! - Thanks, Dave

I used this as an extension for side panel fans so when I remove the panel there's plenty cable to set it to one side. Nice braiding.

La prolunga è solida e ben costruita, ed è anche valida dal punto di vista estetico. L'ho utilizzata per far alimentare la ventola anteriore del mio computer direttamente dalla scheda madre. Visto che il cavetto di alimentazione della ventola non è abbastanza lungo, quando avevo assemblato il PC ero stato costretto a collegarla ad una presa molex tramite un adattatore, perdendo così la possibilità di farla funzionare a giri variabili.
