Made of aircraft grade aluminum for lightness & durability with matte finish. Clamps have rubberized surface to avoid marring finish on your gun. Opening & closing clamps is easy by turning a key on the side like a vise clamp. I think size is a bit small/short for my liking to give a longer rest for my rifle handguard for more stability. It's functional though for its intended use. Grip on the gun is ok because of the rubberized & checkered pads on the clamps. For its price, it's good value for the money.

I use this while hunting big came and coyotes. Provides a good solid hold on your rifle and with a good tri-pod crates a solid steady shooting platform. It's a little bulky and heavy for long mountain hunts with lots of hiking, but that's the only draw back I've experienced.

Used this both on a pretty aggressive hunting trip and for practice on a flat range. The rubber is held on with adhesive, so it's not hard to peel off by accident. The clamp grips well but takes a lot of turns to close. The Arca Swiss rail is functional but wobbles a bit. If you're backpacking, the whole package is a bit heavy. Nothing wrong with it, but there are definitely nicer ones out there.

Measure your rifle first. It was a bit wide but its nothing some rubber shims glued in place didnt fix. Save yourself the hassel and just get the Hunt ball mount along with it. Very good combination together.

I ordered this not knowing for sure if it would work on my camera tripod. I have a Manfrotto tripod with a Markins swivel ball mount. It arrived and I had this thing installed and my pew pew clamped in just a few minutes. It is well made and came with a few extra pads. Everything on it is metal including the adjustment handle used to open and close the clamp. This is going to make sighting pew pews in much faster and easier with a laser bore sighter and it will be great for some night hunting wild pigs. UPDATE: After using this a few times in the field , I am very disappointed in how well it holds the rifle. There is a lot of play in the clamp and the base attached to it. I did not realize how bad it was until I put my rifle into my buddy's BOG deathgrip clamp. There is night and day difference. It also doesn't work well with rifles that have a smaller rail. The clamp will not close enough to work with skinny rails like the Ruger SFAR. I will be ordering the BOG deathgrip as soon as I have funds to do so. Changing my review for this product to one star.

While I have not actually used it in real shooting, I have “practiced” with it at home, works well.I will need a spacer because it does not close enough for my situation, no problem.

This holder has a really strong grip, I use it for my crossbow on my tripod and as we all know it's a balancing act but when you find the sweet spot this clamp is well worth its weight in gold. Good product and great buy.

It's a quality part and great for the price but not quite as durable as the high priced options out there. It functions exactly as described and does the job well. The rubber pads on the inside of the clamp are thin but effective. They are soft rubber that grips well. It also comes with a replacement set of pads with an adhesive side in case it's needed. It has worked great so far but I'm leary of overtightening the clamp so as not to strip the thin threads on the bolt. However, it does tighten up well enough to hold a 5lb object in place and rotate it on a tripod.

Awesome clamp! It's super sturdy and metal with rubber pads to protect your firearm. It's adjustable to various tripods. Worth the buy and will save money!

Went to tighten it to my gun and the screw that tightens it just snapped off, seemed to be well built but the screw was all rusty on the inside

Works perfect. If you don't need to reload asap. Aka if your a good shot
