Brain-Pad Pro+Plus Double Laminated Strap/Strapless Combo in one Adult Mouthguard

I honestly love these, and the biggest reason is they are perfect for my purposes. The USAT now requires clear or white mouthguards, and I prefer that my taekwondo students have doubles. These are perd er cr, especially since they fit over braces! Yes, they can be hard to mold, and snug, but with some adjustments they work.

Clear instructions for fitting

I threw mine away after boiling it several times. Even when it got hot enough, biting down on it did not adequately work. I have done this many times. Then, out of anger, I squeezed it with my hands. I was able to essentially tear it in two. In addition, the package was not what was advertized. It was put into a dirty ziplock bag and had a gross brown sugary thing on it. A complete waste. Please do not buy.

These were perfect before my son got his braces and we swear by the brand. However after he got the braces on, despite the package saying it fits over, they were a bit snug. Maybe for a different mouth size, but my son's over-jet is really bad and his teeth aren't really aligned straight. Personally, we found the Brainpad 3XS works better for his mouth. No matter what though, we stick with the Brain-Pad brand because of the holes in the front that allow him to breathe while playing football.

I had a really hard time molding the device. I found it was so high that I couldn't close my mouth. I wanted to wear it at night so I wouldn't grind my teeth or bite my tongue or lips. But my jaw hurt and it was so uncomfortable that I returned it for credit. Maybe I just wasn't aggressive enough in molding it, but I think it probably was too high for me.

I know a bunch of people like the top mouthguards only… but I love the doubles. It’s Safer to bite all the way down and I can still breathe through the middle holes. I bought a 150$ mouthguard and like this one more.

Your mouth is basically open with that thing in, the gap between your teeth is quite substantial. The breathing holes are nice, you can clamp down with your jaw and still get full airflow through your mouth. The additional space between your teeth drops your chin a bit, which may make you slightly more vulnerable for hooks and straights, but it adds marginal protection against upper cuts as the rubber between your teeth acts as a shock absorber. In any case, for people who can't get enough air through their nose and end up gassing out or constantly losing their gum shields, this may be a good option. Don't forget to put the plastic pieces into the breathing holes before you boil the thing and fit it, otherwise you'll crush them during fitting.

It’s excellent for MMA fighters. I used it in my fight and it allowed me to really bite down and throw some heat with my punches.

I have purchased this mouth guard in the past for Muay Thai. My son uses this one for football and loves it as I did.

Great gumshiled for sparring. Worth having

These are really great. They allow you to breath and they support both the upper and lower teeth. That's the key. I had a hard time fitting and had to re-boil a couple times to get it acceptable.

Really helps with my snoring! My GF loves it! Takes a while to get used to wearing it.

I thought it would be bulky and screw up my gag reflex . But it makes breathing so much easier.best mouth piece I have ever had.
