The perfect comb
This is a great little comb, perfect for de-tangling hair in an effective manner. The teeth are wide enough that the hair doesn't get damaged with gentle use, and it is well polished so that the surfaces of the teeth do not snag the hair. In fact, before I got used to it, it felt so smooth to brush my hair compared to my previous plastic comb that I couldn't really feel it! My hair was fairly damaged from over-processing and long-term illness, so this has been a welcome addition to my haircare routine and long-term goal of healthy, long hair! The comb itself is quite compact, and very attractive on the dressing table. It measures approx. 7 inches in full length, with the teeth section being 3 3/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches 'deep'. The handle is smooth and well shaped so it is also comfortable to hold whilst using.*Additional info after several months' use: The comb doesn't get too dirty with daily use, since the wide teeth don't get filled up with loose hairs; however, regular cleaning is a good idea with any hair tool. The comb can be gently cleaned using warm water and a gentle soap (diluted Dr Bronner's or baby shampoo is good for this). So long as the comb isn't left soaking and is carefully dried off afterward with a clean towel then left to fully air-dry, then it won't become damaged from the cleaning process.

Lovely
This comb smells amazing! That's the first thing I noticed upon opening up the package. You will end up sniffing this comb occasionally, and might look a bit strange doing it - so I warn you now!The wood feels like good quality. All very smooth, no splinters or cracks. I've used it fairly often by now, and it does a good job getting through my hair - which is always an impressive thing, considering my hair is quite wavy, tangles easily and is down to my hips. The comb is shaped well - it's easy to hold, feels comfortable in-hand, the teeth are well spaced and don't feel sharp against your scalp. All in all, very impressed and pleased with the product! Everyone I've shown it to (and yes, I got them to smell it too) wants one as well. Highly recommended if you're in the market for a wide toothed, natural material comb.

As useful today as thousands of years ago.
I bought this to complement a green sandal wood hair brush I was given. Although I shouldn't tease, the blurb on the packet is well meaning and fun - 'Sanders is one kind of valuable timber. Aromatic, eternal, endures denser, immortality, drive bug and exorcism. Long-term use sanders and mahogany combs can refreshing and with fixed attention'..sic'Head is the first of all yang. the body twelve meridans converge in this. Often make the hair and scalp massage can promote the blood circulation of scalp. enhance the activity of hair melancytes and nutrient supply to brain cells, thus delaying brain aging' sic... If only!Never mind, we get the message. The comb is heavy and effective. It smells absolutely fabulous, like warm incense, does a lovely job, gives a mini massage each time I use it and feels really healthful. Tactile, beautifully grained, is smoothly polished, should last forever like the ancient combs found in tombs and archaeological digs. I love it.

Beautiful Comb
I rated this comb 4 star because it's not really built for thick hair. I have very thick hair and it's rather hard to comb through. Other than that I would rate it 5 star as it leaves your hair feeling lovely! It's beautifully made and very good quality. Smells of sandalwood that took me a little time to get used too, but on the whole a very good comb. I would recommend for anyone wanting a non static comb that makes your hair and scalp feel pampered!

No school like old school
My hair is in a bit of a state lately so I needed a nice old school comb to get it back to glory (or get the knots out without ripping out my hair.) I was going to get a super fancy, plastic one, however a friend of mine (who has glorious hair), suggested I get a wooden one. Apparently in some Japanese/Chinese old school beauty rituals, wooden scented combs were the way to go. I saw this comb and thought “Dang that’s cute” and got it.The presentation is great, it came in this cute classy box, with a gorgeous little bow/bobble included. It’s really gentle on the hair, and leaves it nice and smooth without dragging. It does have a mild scent to it, which I really love. This would make a great gift to anyone with long hair, or anyone that wants to take it easy on their tresses. Definitely recommend.

I love this comb
I have below the shoulder very fine hair and stumbled upon this comb a few years ago. It is wonderful, absolutely no static it's kind to the hair and the scalp. Actually I have bought many of these combs. I use them myself but have given many as 'add on' presents at Birthdays and Christmases for my daughters in law and friends who all love them too. I always keep one spare in case of loss or breakage (dropping them in porcelain tiles can result in the top end breaking off), and I have just ordered three more (in case they become unavailable!).

The forgotten comb of Mirkwood
Have you ever dreamt of becoming a warrior of the woodland realm?Nows your chance to get in on the action, with your very own sandalwood comb.Sauron and the forces of evil won't stand a chance against you when you're wielding this item of great power.Especially not when your hair looks so damn good, and then you crack them in the long and metallies when they're distracted.Ok, so maybe this isn't a real elvish comb, and maybe you should start kickboxing as a back-up option. But this comb is still fairly awesome. It's strong, has wide teeth, works well and non plastic!Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvoPros:Combs wellFeel like an elvish warriorCons:Lack of lembas bread
