Q: How does this affect the bath/shower mat?

I don't use a mat, but although the packaging warns it may cause the bath/shower to become slippery I haven't found that it does. Great product.

Q: Does this shower gel lather ? In trying to find a body wash for eczema that lathers, i always find shower cream and this just doesn't do it for me

Yes you have to put plenty on warm water and really rub in to your skin I used for very bad dry skin and works for me I use th cream as well

Q: Can you use this on your face I always have the soap but can’t get hold of it ?

I'm not sure but it says on the box that it's suitable for children and adults so it must be gentle enough for very young skin. If I was going to try it on the face I would test a bit first, maybe put a little on a small area of the face? This is only what I would personally do. Sorry, can't help more, perhaps the manufacturer could answer your question more fully.
