The install was pretty straight forward. This unit came with the limit switches. My only complaint is the directions or their youtube vid did not explain which of the three screw holes the "Y" axis switch needed to be in for my particular Sulpfun which is determined by working size in mm. So I just installed it in the middle slot. Seems ok. It cuts very accurately. Like any engraver, you have to learn the engraving settings specific for the model and material. It's a learning curve if you are new like me. Plenty of youtube videosAlso, Don't get discouraged when you first start using lightburn software. That's a huge learning curve. It takes time and well worth it. It's fun times now.

I bought this so I could make Awards for some students and every video I watched made it look so easy just download software drop in what you want to engrave and off it goes. It was nothing like that. After nine and a half hours of trying to get this thing to work I still can't get it to work. It'll engrave Nevada quarter of the way through the image it starts traveling up the y-axis and distorting the image there's no fix for this that I can find. I've been all over YouTube Google Bing I've asked chat GPT I don't know what else to do with this point I've been on the light burn website I've been on the engravers website, I even tried the laser grbl thinking maybe that would help maybe it was a software issue, but no it just won't work. And unfortunately I didn't pull the stupid thing out of the box and try it when I got it back in August and so now it's past the return time and nothing is working. So if anybody has any ideas on how to get the stupid thing to work that'd be great because $600 later I have a paperweight and no Awards for the kids that I'm supposed to give them in less than 48 hours. Now I know, you're all thinking why would you wait till the last minute to do this? Well the fact of the matter is is that every single tutorial I watched on this product and the software, both software's for this product made it seem like it was no big deal wouldn't take more than maybe half an hour per item to get it done and I figured starting 3 days ahead of time was more than enough time to get them done. I was wrong. I'm frustrated and disappointed and I guess I'm going back to mod podging because that's the best I'm going to be able to do for these kids. So disappointed!

You will not find a lens replacement video on this product. unscrew the brass ring at the end of the lens capsule. Also the lens is thicker than the one offered for the S30 series. This was not explained anywhere! And if you ask for help from Sculpfun, you will only get information on another S30 Series. Otherwise, the laser engraver is a great product. Just finding replacement parts is a nightmare!

the line tracking is good enough for anything i personally would want to make with it. but, i would not make things with this with the intent to resell them. the absence of a tracking system also makes repeatability a pain in the ass. this is a fun little toy to play around with.

This is a pretty comprehensive kit to get you started on your engraving journey. It took a little over hour to get it all together, but it was pretty straight forward and the instructions were easy to follow. It's confusing as to what software you are suppose to use, but a quick Google search and you realize that there are plenty to choose from. There are plenty of free and premium software to pick. It engraves and cuts well enough for me. I just use it around the house type things, not for paid work or anything. I'm happy with this engraver!

I have had this unit for appox 3 months. Works as expected and i have had lot's of fun with creating some beautiful items. However... The air assist has completly died. Now... Since i have had this unit I have made approx 20 items with a total running time of 25-30 min max per cut . I make sure i clean my machine after every cut and keep it enclosed away from any dust. Air assist should not have died already.Contacted the company and i'm hoping to hear back to see if they will replace the air assist unit.Update will follow
