Wera Star Magnetiser / Demagnetiser, 05073403001

I have a few precision Wera screwdrivers that I use for rebuilding my vape RTA’s which use very small screws and hex screws that can be a bit fiddly when trying to keep them on the tip of the screwdriver before screwing them down. This little gadget eliminates that problem by magnetising the screwdriver which then can pick up the heads of the screws and keep them in place until you have finished tightening your screws down into position. This item can also demagnetise by simply rubbing the end of the screwdriver on the negative side of the magnetiser. Great quality and useful little device that doesn’t cost much and it makes my job so much easier.

Does what it says on the tin, small and works wonders, worth having in the tool bag.

Its a simple product that works. Good value, especially compared to other products on here. Especially with the Prime delivery included most others were about twice the price without the name of Wera to back it up.Obviously has its limitations and the magnetic Field it creates on screwdrivers fades but hay for a little of 4 quid when I bought it it worked a treat getting screws in at arms length after previous frustrations

The magnetism works well with this little gem. Very useful and a doddle to use. Just wish it didn't fall too the bottom of my tool box though...

Would have liked a mounting lug/clip to clip to the outside of my tool bag to save having to rummage for it.Thinking of crossing a couple of zip ties - not elegant, but will do the job.But it works reliably - for example, magnetise a 5mm blade X-head driver and hold a 50mm long screw: it’s fine.Also demagnetising works easily with only a couple of wipes.

Great price, great magnetiser. A brilliantly useful item to keep in ones toolbox especially if your hands are a little shaky at times. Just magnetise your screwdriver and a screw stays put. Or use to magnetise tools to pickup screws or pins or clips that have dropped from bench or table especially if you cannot reach to lift. Obviously only works with ferrous metals (steel, cast & wrought iron).

Having recently purchased a Stanley FatMax Screwdriver Set, I was disappointed to find that the screwdrivers were not magnetised, so I was pleased to see this gadget appear in my suggested purchases list.Given the price, I figured it was worth a try, though I was initially a little sceptical that it would work well. It was delivered in just a couple of days, and I set about trying it out.I'm happy to report that it works exceptionally well with just a single application (place the screwdriver tip in the notch and withdraw it lengthways), and my entire screwdriver set was magnetised in just a couple of minutes. Demagnetising works just as well - just in case you feel the need at any point.

It does exactly a predicted. However, the shape isn't condusive with a couple of items I needed to re-magnetise, although it did help a little. My fault I suppose?

Definitely the best Magnetizer there is. It is super effective and I love how you're not limited to a hole size like other brands. You can use this to Magnetize more than just a screwdriver.

Nichts nervt so, wie wenn (vor allem kleine) Schrauben bei Montagen immer wieder herunterfallen. Fummelei und Sucherei - damit ist jetzt endlich Schluss.Einfach den Schraubendreher in der Furche des Gerätes drehen und etwas hin und her bewegen und schon ist er magnetisch und die Schrauben bleiben "kleben".Bei fetten, schweren Schrauben reicht die Kraft dieser Magnetiesierung natürlich nicht (kommt generell auch etwas auf die Legierung des Schraubendrehers an), aber da braucht man das auch kaum.Das Entmagnetiesieren ist genau so einfach. In der Ecke etwas hin und her und das war's. Erklärende Beschriftungen auf dem Gehäuse und auch eine Anleitung liegt bei. Alles kinderleicht.Dabei gute Verarbeitung und kompakte Bauweise, die in jede Tasche passt.Der Preis ist zudem bei Amazon's Choice sehr attraktiv (€ 9,49 statt UVP € 14,67)Wertvolle Hilfe für Bastler und Handwerker!
