Genuinely good product in a class where theer are few.
Summary:Great bed - but take my advice and buy it from someone who does no use City Link - see below for the sorry saga and a full product review:EDIT 3/10/2014Should be coming today. However it is not showing as "Out for delivery" on ShittyLink's web page. I am suspicious. Am currently on the phone to them and they are ringing the depot. Ah - they do have it, going out on the 2nd van run today. Allegedly. We'll see...Still not showing on web tracking - it's not coming, is it... Will amend this later to say yay or nay.EDIT 1/10/2014The bed is great (see below) so I ordered a second one. However, I have not got it yet because City-Link (aka ShittyLink) HAVE LOST IT!!!Let me ask this: How can the courier LOSE a package about 1.2m x 1m x 0.4m???2nd time calling them... Still waiting for an explanation.Beware - product great, delivery rubbish.------Amazing - a folding bed that works and is comfortable.Bought Sept 2014.We need to use this on a regular basis.Plus points:1) Really easy to unfold and fold and the J-Lok mechanism works really well;2) Easy to push around on the castors;3) I was sceptical of a thin mattress, but the memory foam one supplied in conjunction with the wooden slats means I get a great night's sleep. This is a "contract" model so designed for constant use unlike most guest beds.4) I'm not light and this bed is really sturdy. I believe it's rated to 140kg or similar. It feels like it would cope.5) Delivery was OK - City Link chap helped me drag the box to a 1st floor flat. Packaging minimal and sufficient (mostly the cardboard box).I might revise this review if anything changes, but I think we have a genuinely good product - much better that all the other sofa beds and trundle beds we looked at.

Excellent guest bed
The bed arrived in double quick time, despite initially being 'out of stock' and the price was much less than with other suppliers. I purchased the model for the ease of opening up and set up and was not disappointed. Our expected house guest has not yet arrived so the bed, and in particular the mattress, has not yet been fully tested so I am sticking with four stars for the time being. As our guest is a reader it would be nice if the headrest/pillow support had been designed to be a bit taller - though I appreciate this would increase the overall height of the unit when in the stored position. A bonus to purchase a product manufactured in the UK.

Good bed with hard mattress.
Yes, it's a sturdy, well made and easily moved bed, but it's by no means as comfortable as the reviews suggest. The high density foam mattress is unlike any memory foam I've come across and is just plain hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. I'm imagining the guests everywhere saying politely through gritted teeth that they have had a comfortable night, thank you and longing to get home. I had to fold up spare duvets to try and soften the sleeping surface and in the end swiped a double memory foam topper from another bed, folded it in half, padded the gap with pillows and got a comfortable night.I'm beginning to wonder if I have the right mattress so I shall ring Jay-Be and check and update this review afterwards.Update - I have rung Jay-be and had a most helpful and positive response.

Jay-Be Folding J Bed ideal guest bed. Not really suitable for persons over 110 Kg.
The J-Bed is supposed to be tested to maximum weight of 21 stone or 133.4 kg according to Jay-Be. When I first laid on the bed and then went to sit up, one of the wooden spring slats snapped. I weigh 115 Kg. I contacted Jay-Be directly and they informed me that the bed was rated to 21 stone and immediately sent me two replacement wooden slats free of charge. I opted to replace myself. So I can't fault Jay-Be customer service. Just a shame about the broken wooden slat as the bed appears to be well designed and very simple to unfold/fold and stow away.

Excellent space-saving bed
Great bed! It folds out in seconds, it closes up even faster, it wheels round very easily. It's strong, solid, good to look at. I bought two. Possibly I'll need to replace the mattress within a year (that's OK!) but the frame should last a long time. Well designed. good product. Nice to use.

I wanted a good size (wide and long) single put-me-up and this fits ...
Bought this bed to sleep in same room as an elderly relative who is poorly. Previously had an inflatable bed but that wasn't reliable or convenient. I wanted a good size (wide and long) single put-me-up and this fits the bill. Have used the J-Bed nightly for a couple of weeks so far and very pleased I bought it. Very comfortable and so easy to put up and take down and easy glide castors make moving it no effort at all. Was on offer when I bought it but still the most expensive of this type of bed but well worth the money in my opinion. Seems very sturdy and well made and it should last ages.

Don't bother not worth it
Not very comfy..... Wooden slates cracked and broke on first time using the bed lasted less than one year for the price expect more very disappointing

Good guest bed
Not bad at all for a folding bed. At the beginning the memory foam can be a bit annoying when you change position because it is firm and it takes some time to readjust but after a month it is all fine. Decently large too.
