Very interesting graphic novel. I bought and read it after hearing the film "Edge of Tomorrow" was inspired by it, and you can see the influences. I have to admit it did take me some time to adapt to reading from back page to front page, but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed the artwork and storyline.

This manga is amazing and a must own for manga weebs & noobs alike. Great story and art. If you ever watched the film “Edge of Tomorrow: Live, Die, Repeat” then you have seen the American live action adaptation and the manga is even better.

I have read the book - which was excellent - and seen the movie - which was good, but this is the best version so far! I ploughed through this in a couple of hours and it was brilliant from start - the back of the book - to finish - the front. Yep, it reads from back to front pagewise and from right to left regarding panels and speech bubbles. The cover material is very weird and has a rubbery texture to it - maybe the feel of cold, dead flesh? Anyway, if it gets any marks on it, mine had a few glossy marks from new which I thought would never come off, carefully wipe it down with a warm damp sponge - not wet, and don't get any on the pages - dry it off with a towel and it comes out looking pristine. Very strange stuff.

The manga follows the novel, but different order. Overall the illustrations are good, but at times bit difficult to make out and there’s a little confusion on the sequences. Highly recommended manga which really does depict the character situations and its overall good story hence won a major award in Japan. I’ll be reading the second volume of this manga.

I bought this after I watched the movie adaptation because I really liked the whole idea. I was not disappointed, in fact I loved it more than the movie. The first half is pretty close to the movie, but after the middle things start to diverge greatly and you have no idea what is about to happen. The artwork is very good, the aliens have an unusual style, but they are still very menacing. I liked the ending and I would definitely recommend it if you liked the movie. Even if you didn't, this provides a much more mature story.

A Japanese soldier finds himself reliving the same day, over and over again, in a hopeless war against n implacable enemy. Reading like an episode of 'The Twilight Zone', this story is intricate and the Manga stylised artwork lends a sense of dynamism and action to the plot.

What an amazing book! If you liked the film, you will love the manga. The story is only 418 pages so can be read in less than two hours. BUT! it's such an action-packed, breathtaking story you could easily read it more than once.

It's fantastic how the author can portrait the change of the main character just from facial expressions. Very captivating, definitely recommend!

Compre este título porque también vi la peli la historia me pareció excelente y quise ver de cerca y cuando me entere que los dibujos eran del mismo autor de la death note no lo pensé demasiado y simplemente di comprar el libro es grueso la textura y color son excelente llama mucho la atención. si lo estan pensando comprelo yaaa

Ich habe diesen Manga sehr genossen. Er ist sehr spannend und fesselnd, man will immer wissen, wie es weitergeht. Ich konnte sogar oft nicht aufhören zu lesen. Die Idee, dass der Protagonist immer wieder den gleichen Tag erlebt und dabei gegen Aliens kämpft, ist originell und gut umgesetzt. Der Manga ist für Freunde des Filmes Edge of Tomorrow zu empfehlen, da der Film diesen Manga als Vorlage nimmt. Die Charaktere sind sehr sympathisch und glaubwürdig, man fiebert mit ihnen mit und hofft auf ein gutes Ende. Der Zeichenstil ist auch sehr ansprechend und passt zur düsteren Atmosphäre. Ich kann diesen Manga jedem empfehlen, der Action und Science-Fiction mag. Er hat mich von Anfang bis Ende begeistert und ich fand ihn sehr gut geschrieben und gezeichnet. Er hat keine Längen oder Schwächen und ist ein Meisterwerk des Genres. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

This is the first time I've read such a thick manga volume, and it was nothing short of amazing. The story itself is quite fast paced, and it only took around 2 hours to finish the entire book (and I take my time to admire the illustrations). Obata is also known for drawing Death Note, and his art style is quite distinct and clean. Overall, reading this felt like watching an anime movie, but in book form. Even with the fast pacing, I came to become attached to the two main characters, and the finale has a great plot twist which (without spoiling) made me quite emotional. For $17 aud, which I would pay for a normal volume sometimes, this was a great book and a great read!

I went into this manga expecting it to be good, but i wasn't expecting this level of quality, from the amazing story, to the incredible art, its perfect. The quality of the paper is impressive, the book is bigger than i tought, but that's no issue. It came in perfect condition, so It's surely a 5 star product.
