This beanie is 100% cotton as listed on the tag. It’s soft and comfortable. I love the short fisherman’s beanie fit. It sits over the top of my ears but I have a small head. I wear a 6 7/8 baseball cap for reference. If your head is bigger it should sit above your ears. I’m hoping line will shrink just a bit.

Really nice hat.fits great just above the ears. I liked it so much I bought another one Doesn't tend to slip off as do most of these hats. The100% cotton is a must. It doesn't itch as much like wool. I liked it so much I bought another one.

Nice soft hat. Seems hefty and actually well made. It does sit high on the ears but that’s the style of a fisherman’s beanie. A pleasant surprise in the vast field of cheaply made crap.

I’ve been looking for a small sailor hat like this for a while now, and even vs a lot of the bigger companies out there, this has been the most perfect find! It’s light weight, fashionable, and most importantly- sits comfortably above the ears. You can easily move this hat around on your head, like say you wanted to cock it to the side a little. This hat is terrific!

I don't have a big head--I always wear small hats, and this was the best-fitting watch cap/fisherman's cap/teenieweeniebeanie on Amazon. I bought a couple more of the same size (different colors--black & olive green), but they are a bit bigger, and go over the ear just slightly. I was really hoping for above-the-ear because I wear them inside at college, but I will keep them because they still look good and are still smaller than regular beanies on the market. I'm just worried about buying another color because the size isn't consistent. I will review the other watch caps later.

Husband likes it. He wears it in the morning when walking the dog. It does not cover your ears which is why he likes it- for headphone use. Keeps his head warm enough on cold days.
