Well made, sturdy and fit well.

I was a bit worried that they might not work with our parasol stand. Not sure if there is anything like an "industry standard" for cantilever parasol stand weights and how they might fit, but these do fit ours so - bonus.Used them today a pretty windy day and the parasol hasn't shifted.Took a star off for "value for money", £50 seems pretty steep for what they are, but then that appears to be the price you can expect to pay - if not more.

I’ve had these for a few years now so it’s a long term review, what can I say apart from that they really work, I have a very large garden parasol and these keep it well and truly planted to the ground even in a stiff breeze, excellent value for money and something that works, awesome ☺️

Now that I have had the decking done, I have been able to install the long awaited Parasol. The weights arrived on time from ordering and now are installed. Looks great setup. Just waiting for some warm days to use it all.Great item. filled with water DAMN heavy! *update* Great item ... had a few windy days and the weights held their own.... Fantastic item.

These give a very stable base for a cantilever parasol. Empty they are pretty light and easy to move around. Once filled with water, each part is pretty heavy. I filled each one in situ using a hose/watering can. They can be held upright to allow this before closing up and placing down on to parasol base. With all four in place, it would take a pretty strong wind/hurricane to move them. The four cover about a square metre, which is quite big, but required to ensure the stability of the parasol. Once in place you can sit a flower pot etc on top to stop base looking so obvious. They do the job well and I’m very happy with them and the speedy delivery.

The overall 3 stars has been given as I would have expected these to be compatible with all banana cantilever parasols, but they are not. The nut that is used for filling the weights with sand or water sticks out too much and does not allow all fixing brackets to connect easily. If the nut was slightly shorter then then all 4 weight would fit comfortably. Although the ease and sturdiness of the product is great.

These are good quality weights and look nice however do not try and fill with sand if the sand is at all damp.The filling hole is tiny for what you actually need to get in it. Filling with water would be fine. However if you have a bigger umbrella that needs a heavier weight and need to use sand -use kiln dried so it’s free flowing (either kids play sand or we used driveway sand) and we bought a hopper type funnel to use too.If the sand is at all damp you’ll need a very small teaspoon and lots of patience!

Bought as part of a package with a parasol. Essential for stability, they do a good job.
