Quality brush, well made
First of all, if you're looking at this and toying with the idea of getting the cheaper "small" version - don't! Well, unless you have either tiny hands or a tiny face, the small is just too.... well, small. This one is still quite compact, but much more usable. It comes nicely packaged in a classy looking cardboard box, and comes complete with a drip stand. This is plastic and a bit lightweight, but it comes with a handy sticky pad on the back which means you can secure it to the wall. Be warned, it's very sticky - once it's up it's staying put - so make sure it's definitely where you want it if you're going to use this feature. I'd suggest you consider it a permanent fix. The brush itself is nicely weighted, and the handle is a good, comfortable shape. The Best Badger hair holds plenty of water and if your technique's any good you'll get a good lather with this one. It lathers Proraso soap nicely, and that one's usually a tough one to get going. If you use it with Tabac then you'll have lather all over the place. That particular soap and brush combo is epic! The brush is easy to clean and once dried the knot holds its shape very well if you brush it back into shape. Despite being a plastic handle this is a quality brush with a good weight, a nice size for everyday use and for travelling and comes with a stand. This is good value for money and if you've never used a best badger brush before then this one will improve your shaving without breaking the bank too badly.

Great brush, reasonable price
So, this is my first purchase of an Edwin Jagger product since I started traditional wet shaving and I have to say I'm not disappointed. I ordered this brush on the 24th of November, and it arrived on the 27th. This is using super saver delivery, too. Off to a great start. The brush itself is well made and makes a great lather, taking about a minute to whip up a decent lather. Upon the first couple uses it seems to have lost a some of the hairs, but I imagine this is just down to it being brand new. As of right now it's lost about 6 strands of hair, so not too big of a deal. I was also really pleased with the stand, it comes with an adhesive sticker attached to the back so if your sink is a little cluttered like mine, it's not a big deal. Stick the stand onto the wall next to the sink and hey presto, you're set. The adhesive used is really pretty damn strong too, so if you ever have to move it don't pull too hard to avoid breaking the stand itself. Like a lot of the decent badger hair brushes, during the first week or so if you sniff the brush it does smell a little nasty, but this is a non-issue. Most brushes suffer from this and it passes shortly. Overall a solid product that serves its purpose well, is well made, is very practical and is pretty nice looking too.

Excellent Quality
Iv been using the traditional shaving method for quite some time, and have used many shaving brushes, and found that kent brushes were the best, but also very expensive, so i decided to have a change and give the edwin jagger brand ago, and i must say i have not been dissappointed, its excellent quality, produces a great lather, its very soft on the face, and only lost hairs on the first couple of times of using after that it hasn't lost any, i would probably say that i prefer this brush over the kent brushes just due to the fact it performs just as good and is alot cheaper...

Still need a bit of practice
A great brush and at a great price, the bristles are soft and not too scratchy, I've lost about 10 bristles within the 5 days I've had it but I hear this is common with new brushes, the weak ones fall out quickly then you've something that you could probably give to your kids one day. Going to their site and looking at how meticulous their manufacturing process is may give you insight as to how good these brushes are. Personally I still need a bit of practice getting the lather from the soap onto my face evenly (though seeing someone on YouTube do it perfectly with the same brush I know the brush is not at fault) The guy aforementioned seems to know his stuff so I've dropped him a line asking him "What am I doing wrong" Live and learn and I'm learning fast with this beauty. PS the drip catcher can either sit down on a surface or be stuck to a smooth surface (has a sticker on the back) so it's perfect for your bathroom tiles.

Great Brush
I have just returned to traditional shaving with DE razor and brush. This is a must have item for any man. Up until recently I was shaving with gels and a Mach 3. I decided to give the old safety razor method a go after many years of thinking it just wasn't possible to have a nice close shave with anything other than a Mach 3. I was wrong. Now shaving is something I look forward to and this brush has just added to the experience. Initially it lost a few hairs but after a few shaves this has stopped. The brush is well made and helps work up a lovely lather. It comes with a nice little stand with a self adhesive pad on the back which can be attached to a bathroom wall. If you are new this method of shaving or are someone who is simply looking for a good quality, value for money shaving brush then this is the one for you.

An OK product.
Ive purchased this as an entry level brush, so I dont know any better. More experienced folk will probably say its garbage, but after having used it for a while I am happy with it. You might be able to get a silvertip off the fleabay for a slightly higher price (and I probably will do it at some point too). Thats something to think about, but right now: A. This is a decent looking, fair sized brush. In fact, I love the size and its modest looks. B. Holds water (no pun intended) fairly well, BUT make sure you soak it for a few minutes before use. It then produces a good rich lather. C. It has lost a few hairs since I bought it several months ago... Very few though, just enough so that I can HHT my razors - no complaints whatsoever and kinda handy! I like it and would recommend it to a wet-shave beginner. EDIT: One year in and I'm still using it. At every shave it looses a few hairs, sometimes none. Still very happy with it and still have not purchased another one.

Enhanced Shaving Time
I’m someone who enjoys taking his time over the daily shave, and treating it as valuable personal time. Having decided to go back in time to the ‘shaving bowl and razor’ era, I bought this brush and stand. I found it to be high quality, soft and comfortable in use. A good piece of equipment to add a touch of luxury and relaxation to the daily routine.

great product rubbish stand
The stand looks a little on the cheap side but it does the job. The brush is outstanding. It gives a fine lather, it is very soft and retains its shape. I would strongly recommend this brush. A bargain at the price.I have added to this review as the stand has split in several places and is now a home for bacteria so i will have the added expense of buying a new one.
