This is my first ultrasonic cleaner, and one I can recommend. I'd been looking at them for a while and for those that aren't aware, Ultrasonic Cleaners work by agitating the water with sound to create bubbles to clean. This makes them ideal for delicate objects like glasses and jewellery.You can pay a lot of money for the bigger ones but this was sufficient in size to take my glasses and my wife's jewellery with no problems.It's simple to use - there's only three buttons on it- on, off and reset. Unlike some there's no LCD display or anything, you just press on and the timer runs for 3 minutes. This is sufficient for cleaning glasses or giving jewellery a quick clean but you might need to run a cycle twice if it's not something you've cleaned before.As for the cleaning itself, it's good at what it does. I think it's great for glasses (you might have seen these sort of devices at your opticians) and it leaves them streak fee and gets into all the nooks and crannies. For jewellery it appears to be less impressive to me - don't (as I initially did) expect to put in some heavily tarnished necklace and have it come out 3 minutes later like it was new as that just doesn't happen, but there is a noticeable improvement on most things I have tried so far results do vary from piece to piece - it did a great job on our wedding rings but less so on old heavily tarnished necklaces etc. I think maybe I had unrealistic expectations of every item coming out sparkling like the day it was purchases, but that isn't the case. However I see you can buy special ultrasonic cleaning fluid (I just use a squirt of washing up liquid) so possibly that would bring better results. You can see it has worked when you look at the water you throw away after cleaning a few items - mine gets pretty filthy.So in conclusion then I think this is great for cleaning glasses. It is very good for jewellery too, just don't expect it t be able to transform something that's heavily tarnished into something that looks brand new as that's an unrealistic expectation, what it will do is bring a shine to less tarnished jewellery

Arrived really quickly but doesnt seem to do any better than hand polishing, dont waste your money.

bought this ultrasonic cleaner for my daughter as she works in a dental laboratory and she had one to clean her tools. So I thought to get her a new one for her personal use.She is so happy with it as the design is really nice, its small so doesnt take too much space and also, using a jewellery cleaner concentrate she found out you can get better resaults!We are happy with this purchase as the result are amazing i love it.
