TravelJohn Unisex Disposable Urinal Pack of 18

I absolutely love Travel Johns - they are a lifesaver at music festivals. You wake up in your tent at 5am when it's chucking it down with rain, you've got the beginnings of a hangover and can't face getting dressed, your wellies on and then walking for ten minutes to use some pretty filthy portaloos. Well now you don't need to - Travel John to the rescue! They work equally well for women or men. You wee into the pouch and some crystals inside solidify and de-odourise your wee. We've been using them for the last four years and have never had a malfunctioning Travel John. They are now an absolute festival essential!

I bought loads of these for Glastonbury this year, but didn't use them until towards the end of the festival. They were very useful to have in an emergency (or as a portable tent toilet). They were pretty easy to use and the first time I actually used one was in the dark with urgency and surprisingly it all worked without spillage. I am going to knock one star off because one of them, out of the 5 or 6 I tried, didn't seem to absorb all the liquid in the gel, I didn't spend any time discovering what went wrong but if the gel doesn't absorb it all, the seal at the top (like a sandwich bag type seal) is insufficient due to the weight of the bag to totally prevent spillage. It was definitely something I did wrong, but it does need to be completely foolproof. But saying that, overall, very useful and something I would definitely buy again.

Provided it's unopened, one pack is compact to keep in your pocket and completely self contained. This is much cheaper in the economy sized pack. Having had several types of portable devices for my late mother in law ( and for which, on occasion, I have been grateful myself!), this is the easiest, least fiddly to use. The shaped cup is already firmly attached to a bag of silica crystals and it is relatively easy even for a woman to get it snug to the body, avoiding spillage. The bag holds half a litre of fluid and can be resealed for use again later - for example on a long car journey. The gel swells as it gets used up and the whole caboodle can be disposed of in the ordinary rubbish bins cleanly and safely. Good for sudden vomiting too as I discovered with my little granddaughter.

Everyone laughed when I bought these for Glastonbury. After giving a few to my daughter and her friends on the first night I am now out of them as they have claimed the rest for themselves! So, 3 twenty something young ladies have apologised and said that they are amazing.

I’ve been using travel johns for some time since a friend recommended them as my partner and I go camping quite a lot. Saves a trip to the toilet in the middle of the night as they can be far away on some sites. No smell of urine and no spillages! It’s really handy as packs away small until you need them!

The way traffic is these days you stand a good chance of getting stuck in it, miles from a toilet. These are a prayer answered.

I never go camping without these anymore. Have saved many night time trips to the site facilities or the nearest bush/tree.And they do work. Fluids are absorbed by whatever it is inside the pack and as long as you don't overfill, no spill, nor odours.Do yourself a favour and get these. You won't regret it.

Such a great idea. Never go to a festival without them,ladies. No more long walks to smelly, sometimes dirty toilets, that are without loo roll. Just pee in the comfort of your own tent,haha, use traveljohn. Men can use them too, how many of you pee in the camping field, when you think no one is looking, you shouldnt, its bad. Use traveljohn! No need to worry if you get caught short in the night, use traveljohn. I do and I have done for a few years now, do not be without, TRAVELJOHN!
