Shared fun!
I was unsure when I bought this for my two year old grandson as it is his first word book. But I needn't have been! IT HAS BEEN A MEGA HIT!!He will sit on my lap for ages looking at it; a lovely sharing experience. He enjoys identifying things in everyday scenarios. Even tiny illustrations he picks out and names. The illustrations are bright, humorous and colourful. An excellent buy to support vocabulary and visual discrimination development. But most of all absorbing and fun for a child who enjoys learning. Also very good value for money.I am genuinely surprised and pleased that my grandson loves this book so much.Everyday Words - English (Usborne Everyday Words)

nice book with contemporary pictures
Children in my school really like this book. It can be used for lots of different activities. I'd only note for future editions: on the Farm page - somehow make a clear difference between the geese and the ducks. Both are white and the only thing that makes them different is their beaks. However, on the side, where the word is provided, their beaks can not be seen from the side. Maybe if the ducks are changed to yellow or to wild ducks? Or use the grey-ish geese instead? I know this is not a major problem but when trying to make a 4-5 year old see the difference between these two animals, it's not easy, and this book is a dictionary...

Great language learning tool
Great tool for reading to the wee ones. I will actually buy another couple for some adult friends who are learning English as it's an easy way to memorise new words.

Best children's book ever!
I cannot rate this highly enough! We have spent hours and hours looking at each page and discussing the wonderful pictures. My son is now 3 and a half and still enjoys it and it was bought nearly 2 years ago. Fantastic.

For French parents!

Great for learning
Usborne books are always great for learning. This one is a bit flimsy & will not last well. Better value hard books about for same cost. Otherwise content is really good.
