A Really Great Reading Tool!
This magnifier has it all. Great magnification and LOTS of great light, a little or a LOT, if you need it. Sometimes it's the concentration of light this provides that brings out the words on the page, making it more visible. Aside from eyesight dulling a bit from age, printing technology is so advanced now that businesses are printing magazines and labeling information smaller and smaller these days. Do yourself a favor and grab one of these so that you don't miss ANYTHING!

Very Helpful Tool
I got this lighted magnifier for my 80+ mother who has limited vision in one eye. She loves how well it magnifies with the adjusted light & how easy it is to handle. The ladies in her living facility wanted to know all about it & where she got it. This magnifier is a very helpful tool.

Good, but the legs are warped
This magnifier is decent. Actually, better than I expected.Covers a large and practical reading area.It magnifies without of lot of barrel distortion associated with cheap round magnifying lenses.Stated magnification is 3X, but I can't get anything close to that. It's probably a little bit less than 2X, so nothing miraculous. There is some chromatic aberration, color shifting, at the outer edges of lens (relative to your viewing position). So you're going to see some yellow and orange outlines around whatever you're viewing. Especially around high contrast areas. This is to be expected at this low price, materials and technology. Now for the bad. The legs are all warped outward, so when they are folded up next to the lens frame they stick out and have about 1/8 clearance, to get caught or snag on things. And with use, tugging to deploy them, it will probably get worse. If legs aren't essential, consider some of the alternative options without legs.Lighting, at this price, you're not going to have modern, sophisticated battery power regulation that would better manage the ratio of lighting to battery life. It will consume batteries quickly and get dim quickly. The lanyard while helpful, it fairly minimal and doesn't look like it will last long. One star off for the magnification being less than expected. One star off for the warped legs.

Really works and is hands free!
I was very happy with the quality for the price. It will make a great gift for my 91 year old friend. Hopefully she will start reading again. It is nice how the legs fold down or up. Can be used hands free! It even came with a magnifier book marker. It is not glass but seems sturdy still. The battery light option is great so you can walk around with it.

Crack in plastic lens
I was very disappointing with this. It doesn’t light up and my 5 pound dog walked across it with 2 of her feet so she did not put full weight on it. I had the book sitting on my bed and I picked it up and it was cracked so it’s very thin plastic. It’s not glass and you have to hold the magnifying glass away from the book so it actually magnifies the page and sit in a bright little area disappoint you don’t buy cheaply, made for almost $12.

Great Magnifying Light
From first impressions, this is a great magnifying glass with LED lights. It’s very light in both senses of the word. It’s easy to hold and you get a whole lot of light from the LED lights. The quality of the optics is about what you expect from something at this price point- not world class, but still much better that no magnification at all. I had given up reading one of my favorite comic strips (Non Sequitur) because my local paper printed it in a very small format. Now, it’s easy to read. Some minor objections. The LED on/off switch is supposed to provide variable light intensities, but in fact it’s pretty much all or nothing. When you turn it on, there is no light, when you turn up the intensity half way, there is still no light, then all of a sudden you have full light. That’s fine with me. Who wouldn’t want full light? Finally, if you hold it so you can read the easy to remember model number, NZQXJXZ you will find that the labels for the on/off switch in the lower right corner are upside down! This is just nitpicking- none of them would prevent me from buying another one, and that’s what I’m going to do if this one holds up over time. At 25 bucks a pop, it’s a no brainer to buy a couple more to place is strategic places around the house.

Lighter than most magnifiers. Smooth LED Lighting. A quality product.
The only feature to enhance this product would be a wider lens. Otherwise, a good value-priced product.

Great for CD and record liner notes
Oh dear I am finally getting to the age where buying one of these was necessary! I’m a jazz buff and I got this as I was struggling to read liner notes on CDs and records. Was a bit skeptical as to how well it would work but this has been a great help to read the ridiculously small print on liner notes on CDs.An added bonus is it really makes pictures pop. Looking at a Miles Davis concert CD tonight and the enclosed pictures nearly looked 3D they were so vivid when viewed through the magnifying glass. No idea how long the batteries will last (3 AAA required). The button to turn on lights is at junction of handle and glass.
