I bought this trail camera for monitoring traffic on our private road and it has worked great! The settings are very user friendly and the photo quality is great. You can either install 4 or 8 AA batteries. I installed 8 and those lasted me from January into March. I probably should have used lithium batteries during the cold months, but have plenty of AA batteries. What I really like about the night vision is that the sensor stays dark. On an old trail camera I own, it lights up red and gives away its position. Since I’m trying to monitor trespassers on my property, I don’t want people to see it’s location and possibly either break it or steal it.So far, so good! Thanks for a great product!!!

I ordered this to try to see what critters have been coming up onto our back deck at night. The first night that I installed the camera, it captured one of our neighborhood stray cats and a possum! This camera is easy to use, very sturdy, nicely styled and very well made. I was so impressed with how the camera performed the first night that I used it, that I ordered a second one the very next day! Please note that the camera purchase does not include batteries or any memory card, but it is still a great buy. I highly recommend it.

Updated review 6/8/23: This is a piece of junk. Quit working entirely. We have tried everything — reset, change other settings, new batteries, etc. It worked well for a short while, but after a few weeks it just stopped taking pictures. The infrared light stopped working, and when it did work, it would take one photo only and quit. Going in the trash.Pros: good battery life; very sensitive to motion; night images well-illuminated; lots of control features to configure operations; solid, robust product, well-built; sensitive microphone and records clear audio.Cons: SD card difficult to remove with fingers (we usually use needle-nose pliers to remove the card); the settings seems to revert to some default. For example, two times after set up to capture video, the video setting unexpectedly switched to photo only — we can’t determine the cause of this issue; a wider field of view of view would make this camera more useful.Overall, we are fairly pleased with the camera, with the exception of it seemingly returned to some default settings randomly (not sure if this is user error though).

This was a replacement for an older game camera. Picture quality is good and I like the option to set a time-frame for operation. Since I have this set in my backyard, it keeps me from getting a bunch of pictures of squirrels during the day. The only negative comment I have is that the SD card slot is kind of hard to access since it's on the bottom of the camera and you have to fight with the weather seal to take it out. The setup menu is pretty straight forward and intuitive. It has a good range of image quality settings that I experimented with to see how much space a higher quality image would use on the SD card. Don't worry about setting it on the 32MP image, the jpeg doesn't take up much more room than if it was set at 8MP. Overall, it was a good buy and I'd buy another one.

It was easy to set up. It takes decent photos and videos. Night vision is clear. My only complaint is the SD card. If you use the mounting strap you can get the SD card out BUT if you use the stand it is VERY difficult to get the card out! The black ring is in the way! They need to move the SD slot or make the black wheel smaller.

This camera is very easy to set up and use. It is easy to make adjustments because the door opens on the front and the adjustment buttons are easily accessible. I didn't think it would be able to get the smaller birds that visit my birdbath but I am extremely impressed. It also detects the racoons, skunks and cats that visit at night. It has the ability to take a direct forward pictures or an additional two on the sides greatly extending the range. I am really happy with this purchase. I also like the idea that the SD card came with it and I didn't need to make a separate purchase. It does take 8 batteries and I haven't had the camera long enough to know how long the battery life is yet.

Like the title says... The night vision system on this camera only worked about half the time when it was new. Strictly hit or miss with no apparent causation. One day it would work, producing video and images from dusk to dawn, and another day it would produce nothing but a bunch of "Black" images and videos, especially on evenings where temperatures are near or below freezing. Other then that, it's a pretty neat little unit... I've been using this one for just over a month now. It's fine during the day, but the night vision system has stopped working altogether now.Amazon won't replace the defective item because I owned it for 36 days before reporting the issue.Contacted the Manufacture about the issue and they sent me a replacement. The new camera is currently working as it should. We'll see if it holds up longer than the first one... fingers crossed.

I bought this camera to help monitor a vacant house that was broken into that does not have internet or electricity available due to being remodeled.We tested it the night before at our house in our yard to see if it was working and it does. The test night there was a garage light that seemed to impact the night vision though, only from what I could tell on the little monitor that is inside the unit. The images may have been better on a full screen monitor.We zip tied the camera high on a tree branch and it blended in well, my partner almost couldn't find it again after he mounted it! It has a solid build and I feel like it will do its job.I have not been back to the other property yet to see what it may have captured though. Overall a great price for this device.
