It starts up right where book 1 left off, with Lyric Walker, her bff Bex and her frenemy Arcade trying to get to a virtual fortress of evil scientists and experimentation, Tempest, in order to find those who has survived from the attack in the first book. I found the story to move along at a good pace with plenty of action and suspense, however I did find this book lacking in character development and the argument between Lyric and her love interest Fathom to be unnecessary in it's stubbornness and too lengthy, but other than that, it is a book for 9th graders on up so it is appropriately written for it's intended age group. This quote from Arcade about sums it up..."Your city has been demolished. Your friends are dead and gone. Enemies roam your lands. Soldiers have taken your people, torn them from the arms of their mothers, all to cut them open and see how they work! Does none of this burn your passions? Where is your fury?" I can't wait for book 3. Review: MUST-READ!!!! - I read Undertow not knowing it was a trilogy, so when I finished it I automatically went on here to get Raging Sea. Let me tell you I loved it even more than the first book and couldn’t put it down, like no joke I finished it within a few hours! If you haven’t already, YOU NEED TO READ THE UNDERTOW TRILOGY.

Lyric Walker from Undertow must become a Raging Sea
Raging Sea left me with mixed feelings. Lyric walker and her best friend Bex travel across the United States searching for her family. She is a fugitive and blamed by the world for the attack on Coney Island which was engineered by the former Alpha King and Alpha enemy, the Rusalka. Lyric's life on the run with Bex is hard. She is determined to reach the secret facility where her family is being held along with many of the Alpha nation. The story is dark at times, realistic when Lyric is held at the facility and must try to escape with her family and friends. The final chapters end in a cliffhanger. Once again the story has dark and light moments. The Undertow is a true trilogy and you need to read all three books to get the story.

Kinda slow and even a bit boring. Second Act
This book moves slow. But once you get past the traveling (which will make more sense once you read it) it gets REAL. It's exciting! There are basically three Acts to this book. First Act: Kinda slow and even a bit boring. Second Act: we are definiatly ramping up to something and though it might seem obvious, it keeps you until...Third Act: Hang on to something. Cannot WAIT until the third book!!!!

I liked it
OMG when will I learn to not start a trilogy until all the books are out! Michael write faster! I wish I had a high school English class to read this to so that we could compare this book to current events and find many similarities. I really love what Fantom says to Lyric at the end about being a raging sea. We need to say that to every girl we ever meet. Because we are capable of so much more! I just can't wait to see where the third book leads.

Le deuxième roman ne ressemble pas au premier mais apporte une autre dimension. Plus de violence de quête personnelle. A lire même en anglais!
