These screws I used for R720XD 3.5" HDD caddies. They fit perfectly. No issues. I even compared them using calipers and they are perfect.

They’re screws. They fit hard drives. In that respect they are great. They don’t fit QNAP hot swap drive trays due to the head being too large. The search goes on

They're #6/32 thread okay, and they fit the imperial sized mounting holes on 3.5" (and 5") hard drives. Unfortunately the heads are too small to fit the drive sleds on Hewlett Packard GEN8 or later servers. (Previous sleds used button/pan head). The problem is that when they're tightened down the countersunk head contacts the drive before the counterbore in the mounting hole, so they rattle. You could get around this with a small fibre washer, or you could ignore it. The correct screws have wider flatter heads. However, the correct screws are really difficult to find except as spare parts from the server manufactures, in which case they're crazy expensive. So I'm keeping these and I'll live with the rattle. Note that 2.5" drives are bored for standard M3 which you can get anywhere, and most CD-ROM and similar drives are the same. It's only 3.5" Winchesters that are the problem.

Picked up two packs of these for mounting scsi drives into saf-te enclosures for a raid array I'm building. Great quality for the price... Used a pack so far and not had any that were not usable, like you usually get with cheap/poorly made bolts, screws etc! ***Recommended***

There's not much that can go wrong with these. They're the right size, and didn't strip when I screwed them into my hard drives. If I had any complaint, it would be that I now have too many screws :-)
