DryaMite® 3kg Freshwater Diatomaceous Earth

This was a really good quality item and was delivered quickly... just what I needed to deal with the start of an outbreak of mites. Easy to use and to run onto perches and into the nooks and crannies in the hen houses.

This is actually THE best thing since sliced bread. We had a house completely infested - the cat had been in every bedroom (oh joy) and the really hot period of Summer during the school holidays with 8 people in the house meant they were breeding like wildfire. We'd tried many sprays etc. and were knocking the population back, but 2 days later more would hatch and so we started using the Diatomaceous Earth. Sprinkled on carpets, brushed into floorboard gaps, and piled into a little 'area of death' with a torch hanging overhead overnight. I also liked to sprinkle it on my socks, which were then renamed Death Feet. Very good for removing your rough patches on your feet too. Safe for our house rabbits, our cat and the poor fish (who were decimated by the repeated use of permethrin/pyrethrum), and even if the kids eat it, no worms! It never stops working, it's like magic powder and at this price for such a huge tub you don't have to be nicey nicey and careful about it. Also does the grass outside.

arrived pretty quick. I use it in conjunction with other flea treatments....and in the yard. I advise you to begin about march april ,before the fleas get a hold, other wise you may be disappointed.

This successfully rid one of my cats from tapeworm & got rid of mites on one of my dogs. It's also such good value. I'm going to use it for so many things. So glad I bought this. So I highly recommend it!

To those who say that this doesn't work: you have to consider the bugs' life cycle.Diatomaceous Earth kills the bugs that come in contact with it. This means that, if there is no direct contact, it won't work. This *implies* that, if your bug has a three-week life cycle (as fleas, which was my case), you must be prepared to re-apply the product at least a second time.Is it worth having your house completely covered in this white powder, when you could use chemicals? IT IS.Chemicals will affect all beings. Say you apply something on the floors: the water you use to wash it will end up in the environment, killing other bugs and harming the eco-system. As well, insects develop resistance to insecticides quite quickly.Diatomaceous earth acts mechanically - no resistance - and it is a completely natural product.One thing: it will dry your skin too, which can be very annoying, so beware direct contact.

I'm sure it works for fleas as I have used it on chickens in the past - could not hoover the stuff out of the carpet so glad I only tested it under the sofa! Fleas have gone (but used with lots of other products so cannot say t was this alone!)

D'aspect très blanc, poudre très fine avec des grumeaux. Pas de problème pour l'épandre dans le poulailler mais pas efficace du tout par rapport à une autre marque de diatomée achetée auparavant (de couleur plutôt beige, de qualité alimentaire aussi)
