This book gives a good insight to basic Japanese cooking. I learned a few things. A good choice for home cooks.

I liked the book when I gave it a quick read - before wrapping it as a present for my daughter-in-law ..... still awaiting proof of the .. er, pudding!

I absolutely love this book. I love Japanese food but apart from trying to make sushi a few times I have no experience in cooking any meals till now. This book has giving me the confidence and find myself serving up healthy and delicious meals for my family. The recipes are so easy to follow with great tips from the author. As a busy mum I want to cook quick healthy meals for my family and this book is perfect. The author Fiona Uyema's passion comes across in the book with her love for Japan and the health benefits of the Japanese diet. I would definitely recommend the book and the photo's are also lovely. At last a book that is easy to understand and the ingredients are readily available. Meals are quick to prepare and the end product is very very tasty. The book is well illustrated and we have found it great to use, as we had not really ventured into cooking Japanese before, but always enjoyed eating it when out in London. I love Japanese food but never tried to make it myself. When I came across this book, it gave me the push to try it out. The recipes are so easy to follow and they don't take much time at all. I have tried the chicken katsu curry and it was yum! The photos are great and make it easier to see the final dish. Japanese Food Made Easy
