What is the difference between moist (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FQUGXA) and this smooth Hada Labo lotion?

N. Nguyen and M. Johnston above are both incorrect on several counts. 'According to the Hada Labo US website, "super" refers to their "Super Hyaluronic Acid" which holds twice as much water as conventional HA. My guess is they're talking about the use of sodium acetylated hyaluronate. This cosmetic active was developed by Shiseido research. Substituting hydroxyl groups with acetyl groups remarkably increased its affinity for skin as well as its humectant, water holding properties. I'm pretty sure Shiseido holds that patent, so their "patent pending" part is probably hype. "Nano-sized" hyaluronic acid is NOT "marketing hype." Hyaluronic acid is in fact available if five molecular weights, with lower molecular weights having greater penetration into the upper layers of the dermis. 1.0-1.5 million Daltons (original, standard).8-1.0 million Daltons (Low Molecular Weight)80,000-110,000 Daltons (Extra Low Molecular Weight)<50,000 Daltons (Super Low Molecular Weight) <5,000 Daltons (Ultra Low Molecular Weight)The 3 hyaluronic acids used in this lotion are none of the above,as far as I can tell. The next error by M. Johnston: hyaluronic acid is NOT "good for maintaining the skin's lipid barrier" because it is hydrophilic. It is not a lipid, but rather forms a visco-elastic surface film that can eventually evaporate unless you ADD a lipid barrier on top. Lastly, you should NOT add this hyaluronic acid lotion to any oil whatsoever. It will greatly reduce it's overall effectiveness. It is formulated as a sort of gel-serum hybrid, with a few additives to give it viscosity and spreadability. E.g.,the glycerin is added to HA first before mixing with water to prevent HA's tendency to form clumps. There are ZERO emulsifiers to enable it to bind to oils and fats because doing would defeat the purpose of a serum layer. All you will end up doing is restricting the amount surface where it can penetrate, and it will then penetrate unevenly.

I use it morning and night after washing my face. I simply turn the bottle upside down and let a drop or two fall into my palm. I rub my palms together then pat it onto my face. The trick is to CONTINUE patting it gently onto your face until it gets sticky, like sticky to the point where you feel like your hands are sticking to your face. It will feel very tacky, and that is what you want! The sticky feeling goes away very quickly.

Hi, it is hard to tell since everything is in Japanese...I checked the brand's webpage (which is in English) and it does not disclose the ingredients list, it only states that it contains 3 different types of Hyaluronic Acid and that it's free of "fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol or colorant". All I can tell you is that I have been using it for a couple of months now and it has not given my very sensitive skin any irritation at all. It does hydrate and smooths skin, but I would say that probably not enough if you have dry to very dry skin, since it leaves a kind of "thight" feeling to it. Hope this helps!

Does this product have any alcohol in it?

I am not sure , but i read that not. I love this product. I wil return to buy it.
