Get a fresh one and the pastry is excellent, as good as Melton Mowbray, get a stale one and it loses all value for money.

Proper Pork Pie Shared and Loved by the Whole Family
Grabbed this pork pie for a quick lunch and ended up sharing it with the family the everyone had a slice and it didn’t last long! The pastry was nice and firm, the filling was tasty and well-seasoned, and the jelly was just right (not soggy or weirdly textured like some others can be). We had it cold with a bit of salad and mustard on the side proper, no-fuss lunch that everyone enjoyed. Great size for sharing, and it definitely hit the spot. Will be picking this up again, especially for easy weekend lunches or picnics.

Pie of processed pork; minimal jelly. Contains wheat; so I can’t have much. My error. Tastes fatty. It is a pie A pie of porkishness.
