Smiffys Make-Up FX, Liquid Latex, 1 oz

My main reason for ordering the product was for it to be used as part of a Halloween costume. At first, I had a lot of suspicions since my skin is extremely prone to allergies, whether or not the product would arrive on time and whether or not the amount in the bottle would be enough for the makeup. And as such, here is my review of the product.The shipping was extremely fast, I had my concerns (since I ordered it on the week of Halloween) whether or not it would arrive on time. It arrived 3 days after it was shipped, which made me pleasantly surprised.My skin did not have any rashes after using the product, even after applying some of it on my face which is an extremely acne prone area for me.As well as that, I was legitimately concerned with the size of the product, thinking that one ounce would simply not be enough. After Halloween, I still had more than half a bottle left!In general, this product is definitely worth the price and much more! I would buy it again without a doubt.

Great for creating fake skin and other special effects. Used for a zombie costume this product is perfect. I got 3 uses out of one bottle. Each use created 2 bite marks or decaying flesh, 1 nose injury and varies rough/textured skin areas. Obviously for more budding projects it may last for a shorter time. It is however a great product for Halloween costumes. Never had any problems with Smiffys items, apart from always being out of stock in high street fancy dress shops leading up to Halloween. I suggest buying more than you plan to use incase of mistakes or if you need more than you planned on using. Very easy to apply, just blow dry with a hairdryer for 5 minutes between each layer. Removing the latex is difficult on areas where hair is such as eyebrows and lip areas. Apply some petroleum jelly to these areas before to avoid a painful removal. Overall a highly recommended product.

It does what it says, however I'd recommend having several practice sessions with it to learn how to use it best, I think any faults I had with the product were my own since by the latter half of using it I was beginning to manipulate the product better. However be warned, this product out of the bottle smells worse than rotting fish, I was gagging and even though none got near my mouth the smell of it affected my tastebuds for the next 8 or so hours. When applying near your eyes the fumes of this thing were enough to make them water and you cannot keep your eyes open easily. So despite the drawbacks it does what it says.

This did what it advertised and worked very well but there are a few downsides for me.Pros:- Looks GREAT and very realistic- Easy to use for 1st timers (we layered with tissue paper based on online tutorials and it turned out great)- Pretty invisible and easy to cover upCons:- Takes quite a while to dry (we used hair dryers)- Smells pretty awful- Pretty hard to remove, we made the mistake of ripping it off - don't! It left our skin irritated for two days. I recommend using oil (facial oil / oliver oil) to loosen it and slowly take it off.I would buy this again if I needed liquid latex but the experience has left me not wanting to use liquid latex much in the future.

Was my first time using this product so was a bit scared about it reacting with my Girlfriends skin etc but was not disappointed. The smell first is very powerful and will make your eyes run if you apply to close to the eye. It smells like very strong hair dye but that will go once it dries. To make the best scars I simply pasted it over thick strips of toilet roll (if you look up exorcist make up tutorial on youtube this guy will show you) and once that dries you simply cut into the toilet roll on your face and open it up (Obviously being careful!). I then used black paint and fake blood to add the final touches.Overall this product is fantastic, if you want to look the standout at your fancydress or Halloween then buy this stuff. My Gf looked ace as The Girl from the Exorcist! Will deffo be buying this again next Halloween!

You didn't send me what is stated on the picture, instead you sent me what looks like a tube of white face paint. 3 years ago I bought smiffys latex and it was amazing (exactly the same as the one in the picture and I still have the stuff now) so I tested it against what you sent me and you did not send me liquid latex. Smell, colour and the fact that it doesn't stick anything to my face says it all. My old latex is off its sell by date by a year and it still works! Not only have you sent me something that isn't what your advertising in the picture but it doesn't work! I'm p*****d off. So glad I spent just £2 and not £5 or more.

I was quite skeptical about this, as I've never purchased from Amazon and never used liquid latex, but there was nothing to worry about, the product arrived at my home quickly, and does what it's suppose to do. I made amazing cuts with this and am planning to use it for Halloween. It does smell a little bit, but nothing I couldn't bare, and when dried it didn't smell at all. If you have problems with the liquid latex drying just use a blow drier as I did and it'll cut the drying time down considerably. It was extremely easy to use and I throughly enjoyed using it, I will defiantly be buying more in the future.

I used this with tissue paper in advance of an event to build some wounds. The same principle as papier-mâché. Not only was it quite fun. It was quite successful. You make them let them dry then use a bit more to stick them on. Leave it a few minutes (I did 10 to be safe) till its dried and you can paint it as you please. It's quite like eyelash glue so just peels off when you are done. I have sensitive skin and had no reaction to this at all. That said I do suggest a trial before hand if you are worried. A small bottle that goes a very long way. Highly recommended.
