I got this for xmas for my 9 year old niece- she's been getting into drawing recently. I was the same age when i really got into it and was given a how to draw book that really became foundational for me. a lot of the how to draw books in her age range are very simplistic and a bit baby and I know she would out grow them quickly, but the next set were very intense realism guides she would not enjoy. I was so pleased to find this book, its got exactly the balance and room to grow that i was looking for.
