Great work companion
These are the best hands free magnifier glasses I've come across. The selection of clip on lenses are perfect for almost all jobs and very easy to add and remove without having to take the glasses off your head. There's lots of adjustments to make them a perfect fit and to optomise the way they can be used. The batteries add to the overall weight but to be honest I didn't really notice it while wearing the glasses. The LED's could do with being a bright white light, mine are a more soft blue but still very good.I have used mine most days since my purchase and haven't experienced any issues, overall these are great value for money and well worth considering.

Ligthweight and Work Well
As a model maker - at an age when the MK 1 eyeballs are not quite as good as they should be - I need some form of visual enhancement when dealing with tiny parts.I use a magnifying glass of course, but the head mounted magnifying glass really makes dealing with tiny objects fairly straight forward. These are comfortable to wear, being lightweight and well designed to fit.You have a small case with multiple magnifying options with highest getting me a pretty good view of things such as aircraft seats. The visual depth of field is of course narrow with it being worse when at maximum magnification so I try to use the least magnifying lenses as possible. There is an inbuilt light which helps things along, but in reality you want to be in a well lit area in order to reduce eye strain.Build quality is fine and if used with respect I don't see me breaking these any time soon. The lenses are plastic but hard and clear with minimum distortion noted.Overall an excellent help for close up work.

They are great for painting miniatures, but uncomfortable after long term use
I was pleasantly surprised when I received these, they were better quality that I expected for the money. There is a good range of positions for both the light direction and the lens positions, if you have a play with the positions you will find that you can set it up to the exact place you want for the distance you are working at, as long as you are not working past arms length, this is for close up work, ideally some sort of hobby. I use it for painting Warhammer models and it's fantastic, I can see every little detail with the magnification, perfectly illuminated by the torch, so a big thumbs up! Downside is, the nose grip is adjustable but I just can't get it to fit my nose, it just keeps sliding down my nose and blocks off my nose, the entire time I'm painting I'm sniffing like I've got a cold and it gets extremely uncomfortable after a couple of hours painting. I found I could put up with it at first, but the longer I've had them the more sore my nose has got, to the point where I can't bare to wear them anymore as glasses, the arms are also a little uncomfortable behind the ear, but not as much of a problem as the nose grips. Last night I swapped it over to the head band, but found this pulled the nose grips almost into the corners of my eyes, so I have bent them right out of the way also the plastic edge now digs into my forehead. But I'm not giving up, as they do work really well, its just an issue of sorting out the comfort for long term wear, so tonight I'm going to try fitting some sponge on the front to cushion my forehead. Fingers crossed

Work well, feel good, amazingly cheap
I've tried a few of these things, of various styles, over the years and none of them have been much good. Typically, the range from not worth the cardboard they were packed in to kind of OK but bulky, unbalanced and tedious to wear. Didn't expect much from these either, but at under a tenner there was not a lot to lose. They turn out to be OK. No, not just OK - pretty damn good, actually. When first trying them they seemed kind of alright but a bit awkward. Then I read the instructions and found the business bit is adjustable for tilt, distance and elevation. The instructions explain how to set the distance and the rest is just making them comfortable and in the right place (you may prefer to be able to look over them or under them for distant objects). I use the illustrated glasses-like supports, which keep everything in place yet allow for quick mount/unmounting, but the supplied band is pretty good as well.Oh, alright, they do have some faults. The LED illuminator (which also tilts to point at the exact right spot) gives a typical washed-out blue-ish light. Better than nothing, but I find normal lighting sufficient. The LED also uses three AAA batteries, which have the benefit of being cheap and rechargeable, but a lot heavier then the previous model's button cell. My solution is to have less weight on my nose by ditching the batteries, and not bothering about the LED.Overall pleasantly surprised by the genuine usefulness of these.

Excellent
Back into miniature painting after about 30 years. Found my eyes are no good for detail work anymore. I am short sighted and will need bifocals soon, lol old age is such fun, . First off, you do not wear your glasses when using these, there is no need. There are five different lenses included and each has its uses. The strongest is x3.5 and great for detail work, the others I use for various levels of work. The light is first class and can be moved up and down, though there is no way to adjust brightness. They are comfy though heavier than normal glasses, after about two hours they will annoy you behind the ears, other than that they are great. The lenses can slide on there mounts to help different eye strength, and the full mount can be adjusted from horizontal to about -45 degrees, which is great if watching tv, or looking at laptop at same time without removing glasses. On a side note, I will be ordering another set for my wife for reading fine print, eg, try reading the side of a AAA battery without any help, my wife has eye problems due to medication, these are a God send to her, now I have to hide them lol
