Is this wireless doorbell waterproof?

Depends what you mean by 'waterproof'. The manufacturer claims that it is and by that they are refering to the bell push button which is siuated externally next to a front door. I've had one for several years and no problems. The bell ringing section is inoors and does not need to be waterproof. My bell push button, which has batteries, does get wet when the wind blows rain toward the front door area. So in that sense it could be said to be waterproof but I'd not take it scuba diving.

Can someone explain how to set different tones for teansmtter instructions not clear stuck in step 4&5 which buttons?

It is best to have the receiver (plug noise part) and transmitter(s) (door bell button part) close together while programming. 1) Clear all settings by having receiver unplugged, then while holding down the 'volume' buttons, plug the receiver in. You will hear a continuous beeping and the LED will flash 10 times. When no more sound and flashing, release the 'volume' buttons. Your receiver and transmitter are now ready for programming. 2) On the receiver, press the 'music' button to get the tune you want to keep (there are many) 3) On the receiver hold down the 'volume' & 'music' buttons for at least 5 seconds until "ding" is heard once. 4) Now on the transmitter, short press on until your hear a "ding" twice on the receiver 5) Short press on the transmitter again to hear a "ding" once on the receiver 6) Now short press the 'volume' on the receiver to complete the program stored. 7) To program another transmitter with a different tune, follow steps 2) onward pairing the other transmitter with the receiver.

Do you have to put batteries in the door bell button?
