Works great for iOS with DashCommand app
This device is a great low-cost alternative to a OBD-II computer when paired with the $9.99 DashCommand app for iOS. The wifi interface makes it very easy to connect to the device, you just select the OBDBOUTIK wifi network, then open DashCommand and it will wirelessly connect with your vehicle automatically -- no Bluetooth pairing required. I have 3 vehicles and I'm able to connect to any one of them to read check engine codes and clear them if necessary. I've already saved probably close to $500 in repairs by being able to diagnose small issues and repair them myself. And when I do require more complex repairs and have to bring my car to a shop, I'm at least informed of the problem and can avoid the shop's $60 or more diagnostic fee. This is well worth the price and inexpensive enough to get one for each of your vehicles and have them plugged in all the time to get diagnostics as soon as problems appear. The only complaint I have has nothing to do with the device -- when I leave it plugged in to the vehicle my phone wants to connect to the wifi which does not provide actual internet service, obviously, so I have to turn off wifi to force the phone to use LTE for maps, etc. while driving.

Good reader but app not so much
I think this is great for the money but free app not so much...Need the $10 app to really see all details.

It deserves more stars but...
I liked the fact that I can dig into almost everything my Ford Expedition has to show. The scanner doesn't stay on though. It will show a notification saying that it isn't plugged in right. I even put zip ties to hold it in haha. My buddy has the same scanner and it's a good one. I knew I should have bought the newer addition but I just couldn't wait the 2 weeks for the shipping. I have 2 misfire codes and I've changed out every secondary part. Plugs, performance coil packs, unclothed every injector one by one n put on new seals, fuel pump, filter, camshaft sensor, crankshaft position sensor, put a $400 Air raid intake induction with a K&N filter and still have cylinder 6 misfire and misfire on start up. This scanner showed me what my old one couldn't. Alternator code. But I can't monitor live data without it resetting. 😢 I guess I'm going to return pay for shipping and pay for the upgraded model. Costs keep going up while I'm homeless with my 2 year old after losing my job and our house to covid. But we are 'Built Ford Tough' 🦾💪. Hopefully the engine lasts. We sleep in the truck 🤞Hopefully when I can afford the other scanner it helps me figure my misfires out

Code reader
Why depend on a shop to charge you when you can pin point what the problem is, this will pay for itself
