We needed some extra space for clothing in the basement so we bought this portable closet. I was a bit skeptical, but the reviews seemed decent, so I went for it.The bars are a narrower diameter than the similarly constructed heavy duty chrome pantry shelves I own (these are pretty commonly available), however they are still plenty sturdy for this application. I would recommend sticking to the design that it recommends, although it will accommodate some minor modification of shelf height, etc. The cover is nice and provides extra protection from dust and from viewing the contents if that is needed. Overall this has exceeded my expectations and has worked great.It was delivered quickly and was packaged very well. They used plastic spacers and heavy duty wire ties to keep everything together and from being damaged during transit. It takes 20-30 minutes to put together. I used a plastic/rubber mallet to help tap everything in place to make it tight. I would recommend that. Otherwise it is pretty easy to put together. Instructions are par for something like this, not awesome but not bad. It's pretty easy to put together and works as designed.

I got this hoping to solve my storage issue without breaking the bank. It is simple to assemble, sturdy and functional. With a little imagination , it is versatile as well. The strength of the material suggests that this will remain in use for a long time. This size added enough extra storage for a small price. Knowing the quality of this product line and versatility of design makes it easy to organize every closet in the house and add the organization I’ve been needing.

UPDATED Nov 14-2024 : AMAZON - I really dislike your question answering system. Someone asked about the hanger size & I bumped something after loading the 2 pics and it disappeared before I could comment!IN HOPES THAT PERSON SEES THIS UPDATE: My hangers are 17 &1/2; 17 & 5/8 inches.The actual shelf width is just under 16 inches. I do not use the cover. It's my closet - I'm not going thru all that monkey business everyday to "close" it. Looking at other's pictures, I don't "think" your 17-inch hangers will be a problem with the cover. Hopefully someone sent you a good answer.I'd still give this system 10 stars after 14 months of daily use! I've used the space on top for extra blankets and vacuum sealed bags of seasonal clothes. There's a lot of weight on/in this closet. I've thought about getting another smaller set just for the shelves. I STILL highly recommend this closet.FIRST TIP: LOOK through the instructions to see the different ways you can assemble! By the time I was ready to set this up, I'd forgotten I was going to set the 3-drawer plastic 'dresser' in that spot! LOL - ok take a couple things off.It came very well packaged and CLEARLY marked. If I had the energy to take everything off and make a change - I would move the shelf on top the 'dresser' over to the other side and I would have set that shelf just above the 2 end ones. I could have used the extra inch on the bottom. As it was, at the time I was thinking of the fact that the plastic drawer top likes to settle down so I didn't want to chance setting something on it so that's why the shelf was placed there. Just take your time - take stock of what you plan to put in it and your golden!Either way, I'm delighted to have this. It definitely sets up very easily. I had a couple other storage shelves made in the same manner. I love that you can make adjustments to the shelf placement within the area you have installed it.I also chose to use the leveling feature of the screw in 'feet' to cause it to tilt back just a bit and therefore did NOT feel the need to "anchor" to the wall. If you have smaller kids, then I'd suggest anchoring as a precaution ... It's a versatile system and holds a lot of clothes!

I can't say enough great things about this item! I bought it for extra storage for my teenaged daughter and wow does it hold a lot of clothes and even shoes! Make sure you measure the space it's going in it is HUGE! It is really sturdy including the cover, it looks good and it hides everything if it's zipped up.

Easy to assembly. Has a lot of storage space. Racks are tough and stand firm.. However the cover is a bit thin and transparent. I have to add an all black curtain at the outside.

In order to save some money we chose this clothing organizer, as opposed to some other more expensive wooden wardrobes. My daughter and I put it together ourselves and it probably took an hour, or so. The directions are decent, and it was relatively easy to assemble (especially compared to the many other furniture items we have put together over the past couple of years). I would suggest having a second pair of hands for the base setup (if possible - it's not necessary, but does make it easier), and if you're short like I am (5'4"/162cm) you may need a step ladder or a taller person to attach the top parts. Seems very sturdy. There were NO missing parts (there were extras). We opted not to use the cover as it would prevent us from stacking things on one of the shelves, but will use it at some point. If you're looking for a good clothing organizer at a decent price, then I'd recommend this one.

I have this in my storage unit. My closet feels so tiny and keeping extra out of season clothes put away was an absolute must. I’ve had one of these styled devices before, but this one is significantly better built and much sturdier. Fully assembled, the closet is pretty heavy. It is broken down into multiple shelves and bars to pretty much organize your out of season clothes effectively and efficiently. Now, how does it look? Well. It looks like a storage closet. It’s not wining any awards nor is it reinventing the wheel in regards to design. The plain black cover is a better quality than my previously owned (and cheaper build quality) unit but it isn’t exactly anything more than utilitarian. However, seeing as this is in my storage unit - that is exactly within expectations.
