Can you choose which side of the toilet the controls are on? Or is it always the right side?

It appears that the control panel cannot be placed on the left side, but that is not to say that there is not such an option. Since the world is predominately right handed, the unit is generally configured in that manner. Perhaps by contacting the manufacturer, a unit with a left handed control could possibly be specially ordered.
