Faulty Design
Does not fit GMC/Chevy trucks as advertised. GM trucks have the 4 prong plug on the rear of the truck on drivers side. The products electrical connection goes on the right side of the tailgate and will not reach {about 12" too short} let alone have enough length to enable you to hide the wires. This is why some people have commented that the turn signals are reversed after they installed the product because they mounted the connection on the left side of the tailgate where it would seem to make natural sense since the trucks plug is on the left. I did not buy it just to have to modify it to fit. Why didn't they place the connection on the other side of the strip or at give you more wire length?

Sallers listening
I read most of the reviews before purchasing this item. And like many I chose to install it on the end of the bed instead of the tailgate., I think it's a cleaner location. It's not visible as you walk around the vehicle, but is to drivers behind you. Drilling the mounting holes are probably a bit more difficult but worth it. The light strip comes rolled up, so I let it straighten out for a week before installing, also I chose a warn day so it would have more flexibility. The previous reviews were all about the wiring being to short or from the wrong end, so I decided I would just swap the left and right wires if necessary. It appears the seller has been reading the reviews, my unit was wired to the drivers side of the vehicle and everything was fine. No short wires, no splicing wires.

Might work
Could be user error but I could never get it to work. Mine was on a 1993 landcruiser with camper conversion. It has a mix of LED and old school non LED tail lights so perhaps thats the problem? I havent had trouble with previous wiring projects on the truck but this one just never worked.

Good thing I had extra speaker wire and comfortable soldering
Trailer plug on the driver’s side(left). Orientation of the light has the wires feed from the passensger’s side(right) which leave not enough wire to reach the plug. Good thing I had extra speaker wire and comfortable soldering. Only provide 2 brackets for a 60” strip. A minimum or 3 or 4 should’ve been provided in my opinion. Oh well, I guess I’ll find a way to make it work.

They are super bright when u brake and the backup lights are great and are bright as well. Everyone says they want some too now, lol thx for a great product and I hope they last for a few years at least.

Decent product for the money.
So far liking this product. But two things that are flaws on this product. First flaw, wiring, connector, should be wired from the left end, not right because most vehicles have factory wiring on left side of vehicle. So I used a CURT 55384 connector to give extra wiring and a nice hidden behind the bumper connection with out using up the factory connections. And second flaw, the 3M tape that secures the light to the vehicle wasn’t very sticky for the first couple inches on the left end, so it’s lifting and coming off the vehicle. Other than that it’s nice and bright and works well.
