I bought 6 of these chicken feeders to feed feral pigeons in the garden. They were making an awful mess with open feeders and when it rained the food soon became un edible and began to rot. The 6 new feeders were easy to install with the drill bit that was provided. It took the pigeons a day or two to pluck up courage to investigate and start to eat from the hoppers. The food now stays dry and there is far less waste. I mix in garden bird food with pigeon food and as the pigeons feed the smaller seeds drop out and are enjoyed by blackbirds, robins and other garden birds. Its easy to keep the area clean as there are now only seed husks to sweep up.

I brought this for use with chickens. Food ends up all over the floor. Wouldn't recommend.

Our chickens pulled all their food out and wasted 25L in a week. I had to cut the plugs nearly in half and attach the arc of plastic to the hole so that the chickens struggled to throw their food out. That’s improved things but they still waste a lot. Good concept and it keeps the water out, but there’s got to be a refinement that stops chickens from pulling their food out and spreading it all over.

My husband found them easy to fit into a plastic box to keep food off the floor

Works well and easy to build large feeder with 19 litre plastic garbage can. Chickens learned to use it right away

Had to modify with wire on inside of bucket as squirrel, rats & lord knows what else crawled in the food scoops concept of feeder is good.

These are perfect to place in a bucket or bin. I love it comes with the appropriate drill attachment that eliminates the need for guess work or measuring. Good quality, keeps the food dry.

This thing just dumps all the chicken food on the ground, just runs out when you fill above the feeder hood… I ended up dumping almost 20 lbs of food on the ground, I covered the holes with the plugs then pulled them after filling… Everything poured out. I went back to my old style.

I was super excited about these. Easy to install but unfortunately they are still wasting a ton of feed.
